When I was little my parents planned a “progressive dinner” for me and my brothers. We got all dressed up and went to Seattle and had appetizers at one restaurant, main coarse at another, and dessert at another. It was so fun and just something super different! :)

The little tool you used on your couch you mentioned for clothing which does work great especially for sweaters! 🙂🍂🍁 Tons of cleaning motivation! Awesome job Amy!🍂🍁 I love how the playroom turned out and is finished. 🍂🍁 Yard family games are awesome to spend time together. Some of the yard games are BIG pieces like Yahtzee, Jenga etc. , ladder ball, volleyball, badminton etc.. Family experiences and trips are awesome too. We went in a family trip back in 2012 to San Diego and to this day we all still talk about that trip! It was sooo fun! 🍂🍁

Yes an experience gift is awesome. 2 years ago we did that for our kids. We went to Boston and New York and my 3 younger kids got to see and play in snow for the first time ever. We saw the Rockefeller tree like in Home Alone which was magical, went to Central Park and Times Square and ate New York style pizza for the very first time. Plus we shopped at Target and 5 below, a first time for the kids as well. And we went to a ton of museums and an aquarium. It was the trip of a lifetime and the most amazing experience

We live in AZ and we’ve moved into gifting experiences as well. Precovid we bought suitcases and plane tix and flew to CA Xmas night. Last year we woke up at home and gifted a ski trip so the girls woke up to ski clothes, etc and we drove to a cabin in the mountains and me their cousins and grandparents there - so fun! As for bathrooms, we’re a fam of 6 and have always had 3 bathrooms…but our 4 girls have always shared! It’s a nightmare but a great lesson for them to learn as far as sharing time and space ;)

I have my Christmas decor out already....NEVER decorate this early, I think I'm spending to much time on KZbin 🤭 lol. My husband does all the Christmas shopping and buys the big gifts so for instance my chef kitchen aid etc. My daughter is 25 and still lives with us and of course we are so so grateful to have her in our home and part of our lives for as long as possible. We live about 3 hours from Gatlinburg and have been there multiple times there is so much to do but sometimes it can be so crowded. We like to stay at the wilderness it has an indoor water park and restaurants so it gives the kids plenty to do during the winter months and you really don’t have to leave if you get there and it’s too crowded. I’d recommend Riverwalk at Loon Mountain NH for skiing, tubing, beautiful winter getaway, such a beautiful state I live in 😉 I Love your videos, I have so many items you recommended now, next will be pumas stone 👍🏻 Thank You!

There are lots of cabins and hotel rooms for rent and plenty of activities for the kids. There is indoor snow tubing in Pigeon Forge. The ski lodge, Ober, is in Gatlinburg, you can ride the tram up to it. They have ice skating, snow tubing and skiing there. For the shop vac issue… if there is no bag inside the vacuum it will just suck in the dust and push it out the back. Our kids are getting older (18, 14, 10) and when we asked them what they wanted for Christmas they couldn’t come up with anything lol. So we decided to go on a family vacation with my sisters and brother and their families for Christmas this year. We’re going to the Poconos, we rented a house close to Camelback and we’re going to do different activities like make our own ornaments, decorate cookies and just have a “old fashioned “ Christmas focusing on spending time together. We plan on going skiing, tubing etc. we’ll get a few small gifts for them to open but definitely not what we usually do. It’s honestly been less stressful not having to come up with gift ideas this year. Can’t wait til we get there!

Amy, I live between Gatlinburg and Boone, in Waynesville, N.C. I have been both places many times and both are wonderful, however, if you have to make reservations in advance your best bet to see snow is at Boone. Gatlinburg has more things to do, but Boone is the capitol of winter sports. Gatlinburg elevation is lower than Boone, but if the weather is cold enough they do make snow at their ski resort.

If you’re looking for snow but it doesn’t snow on your trip, there’s a place to snow tube indoor all year long. There’s also Dollywood, Indoor mini golf, wax museum, sky bridge, Ridley’s aquarium, plenty of shops and I highly recommend the dinner shows. We went to Hatfields and McCoys and my kids still talk about it. If you stay in The Island or close by, you won’t even have to get in and out of your car to go to shops, restaurants, and the Ferris wheel and fountain show.

For cleaning stains off white uniforms I use Zote. I wet the spot, then rub the bar on the spot and rub in with my finger a little. Comes out great and gentle on my son's delicate white marching band pants. Thanks for the cleaning motivation!

You could travel to Colorado. Or up north because it is mostly snow that time of year

I'm really bad about leaving cleaning laundry pretty much everywhere. On top of the dryer, my nightstand you name it. In fact right now I'm working on putting away back up laundry.

You will definitely see snow in Boone. It is not too far from and they have ski lodges and all kinds of good stuff

I love everything about your house. I only have one daughter and I can't even imagine her having to share her bathroom with anyone else.. 😂 she's 18 now, but she's always had a lot of "products and tools" and spends a lot of time there. Good luck with that 👍 On another note I live in Boone NC and we get a lot of snow. The skiing and snow tubing is most popular here. We have been to pigeon forge TN a lot as well. There you mostly have museums like the mystery marvel house and things like that to do and laser tag and a lot of dinner shows and shopping I'm not sure how the outside stuff would be in February but they do have a lot of go-karts and bungee jumping and things like that. If you have any questions about either place just hit me up.

I'm from Tennessee originally and just moved to Ohio last year. Gatlinburg is amazing..SNOW..amusement parks and all kinds of attractions. The whole family will have a blast. Look into booking a cabin to stay in to enhance the experience.

I'd say Gatlinburg Tenn would be a fantastic trip for your children. The Christmas lights are still up through February.

When I give experiences as gifts, I like to give hints to the gift instead of just telling the person. So for something like you’re planning, I’d give them each a blowup snow tube, some of the fake sparkly snow (that makes a huge mess lol) and a map with the location circled, maybe some hot chocolate packets or something like that too. I like to make it a bit of a game for them to figure out what they’re getting

Oh that’s such a cute idea!!!!

Does your shop vac have a filter, cause it should? Maybe it needs cleaned. Mine doesn't blow dust unless it's full or filter needs changed.

When I still lived at my parents (I moved out about a year ago) all of us used to share the same bathroom (we were two girls + my parents) since we only had one with a shower + toilet etc and one with only a toilet and sink (like a guest bathroom). I don’t know if that’s typical or not for a German household. Some of my friends had multiple “complete” bathrooms in their homes / houses and some not. We lived in an old pharmacy. In Germany pharmacies only sell medicine (prescription stuff and the ones without prescription) and maybe like first aid stuff.
