I’ve always appreciated how they’re able to balance Krillin getting his ass kicked while still recognizing his actual ability. Like he gets beat up easily due to power creep but shooting bullets at his face doesn’t do anything because he is actually very strong. It’s nice to see them not go too far with the Krillin being weak schtick.

Where the "main villain" is a misunderstood victim just as much as the rest, and after defeating the real villain and having a token battle with the main villain, some common sense prevails and everyone gets a happy ending. The greater the complication, the greater the humor, and the editing of the movie built that up spectacularly.
