By far the best around.. I was fortunate enough to see .204 Boat #1 in production at Jim's shop. He was kind enough to give me a tour as I had previously sold him a line of Lithium units for power so it was a pleasure to meet him and chat with him. Both he and his Dad or any of the help I got to see and say hello to, were gracious and filled with smiles. That alone means a lot to a buyer. Personnel attention! You just can't beat that along with a major player that will and is in the game now. Watch out you other manufactures, he's is coming to the top - and fast!

I been looking at these boats online for a few months specifically on instagram and I like them more and more every time I see one. I never knew the history about this company or the craftsmanship that goes into their boats until this video. As an American I love hearing this kind of stuff. And if I ever have some kind of good fortune in my life to where I am in the market for $100,000 bass boat, this is the place I will be going to get it!

Just chiming in here to lend some credibility. I grew up with Jimmy and his brother Earl in rural Idaho and I'll even take some credit for helping this family get started in bass fishing as my father and I fished a lot of tournaments together and Jimmy's brother Earl and I started running the local rivers and lakes in an 11 ft. john boat with a 4 hp Merc fishing until after dark on many days. Earl eventually got into tournament fishing after I left for the Army and Jimmy started fishing and selling boats soon thereafter. Earl is one of the best boat glass artists in the country. This is a really solid family with country values and work ethics and I have greatly enjoyed watching Ballistic Boats develop into the best boat on the market. No reason to hesitate on this one!

Andy, you're a BADASS!👊 If I wasn't unemployed for the last 15 mo.'s & now on permanent disability for the rest of my life due to chronic pain, I definitely would've purchased a BALLISTIC. I'm only 51 yrs. old. 28 of those yrs. in the const. biz. It has kicked my ass, ruined my body, & put me on a fixed income now, so I'll never be able to afford a new Ballistic. Stuck now for the rest of my life fishin outta my '05 Ranger Z21 Comanche powered by a Yami 250HP Vmax HPDI, which isn't a bad thing. It has out-dated electronics & trolling motor, no Power Poles, Lithiums...etc. I love my boat though. Always been garaged. Still looks brand new. Still catch a lot of bass with it. Best of all...IT'S PAID OFF! It may sound like I'm whining or bitchin, but really I'm not. I feel blessed to have what I have. IT'S A GREAT BOAT. Also I currently own a 1990 stratos 201 pro ,it I a cap of restore done by 2 people. It's truly a new 1990 boat with a 2010 250xs.ilike I said been saving for 15 years for next year. This video of your touched my soul in a family oriented fashion as I too am a mechanic (of whatever )auto based not marine for my life of 48 years. 20 as a Ford tech and the rest as a golf course fleet of all kinds. I understand pride in what we do but as you say we're human but correcting what is wrong sets the differences between a paycheck and pride. The small, family owned boat companies are what built the industry. They still thrive today....Ballistic, Allison, Bullet, etc. When you can call a manufacturer and speak to the owner about that much detail, that speaks volumes for a product and the confidence they have in it. Edit: I crawled all over a 223 Ballistic when Jim was doing the cross country road trip to start the company....yes, they are as good as advertised.

One thing I like about the boats is that on the website they say it comes with a 9” Lowrance in front and a 12” Lowrance in dash and other boat brands will give you a 7” or 5” graph

Proud to say I’m the owner of one of these boats. The .204 is a little over 21 feet long. They measure them weird or something but the overall length is a touch over 21. Jim’s attention to detail on building boats is second to none and I’ll never own a different brand. I’ll say this though. I ordered mine from Duck River Marine in July and was told expected delivery’s date would be early-mid October. It’s not Nov 6th and still no boat. This isn’t Duck Marines fault as they’re doing all they can. Some sort of manufacturers problem with getting trailers built was the last I was told. Kinda sucks to spend this much money on a boat to have no clear answer on when it’ll be coming to Tennessee.

I’ve seen one and I was very impressed. I’m not calling myself an expert, but The shop I work for has had a car in the grade 8 at the Detroit Autorama.. was in battle of the builders 2019 SEMA and has won “best of show” across the country.. I can appreciate quality from a small shop with a lot of passion for what they do..it always shines through...However, you gonna have to call ol’ Joe and tell him my bank guy just laughed and hung up on me!

The .204 is a 21’7 total length. The measurement on web page is not tip to tail. That’s the complaint. They do not make a 20’ boat. The .223 is a 22’ boat.

Ballistic is my choice if I was buying but with that said 90 plus for a 20 foot is crazy money.My 2000 22 ft Charger is still new looking and is 20 years old and ran on loz every weekend.it was 30 new and still today it’s 60 grand .In the boat building world do we need these space age materials as there’s hundreds of thousands of fiberglass boats even with wood still out there working every day .

Never seen a Ballistic or a Falcon here in the west. We Have Nitro, Skeeter, Ranger, Phoenix and a Bass Cat now and then. Hell my 2021 Cat 19 footer was a mid low 60's set up the way you are setting up 20 footers. And when I call Cat I still get a person, and a person who knows something. I had my own reasons not to buy one of the others, But the bottom line is I want some Bang for my Buck and just didnt feel I was getting it from any of the others.. Another good video, thanks.

AS much as the new boats shine and are modern, I'll stay with my used beater that I am about to finish restoring, then pocket the saved 80+k . If people can afford them, I'm happy for them, but I enjoy stripping to the hull, going through everything and learning new skills and its done to my satisfaction. I'm glad to hear about manufacturers like this builder, I just can't afford his product.

Rick Pierce basically pioneered the vacuum process.. Ricks resin costs 3x as much as what most builders use, Rick and the Pierce family has owned Bass Cat since inception. By the way you can and have called Bass Cat and got Rick on the phone. Hell Rick had the balls to get a mountain home 203 champ and create a mold to create his new hybrid models.. Just thought I’d throw that in.. 😎

I still can’t afford it but if I could, that would be the one, I’ve read about their manufacturing processes, I know about the quality through friends that have various models, I think there is a 22’ option they have as well, I agree though, with what they do when considering options out there, there is no better boat for the price. On the Ballistic facebook page they claim the 204 is actually over 21’. Turns out it is only like 9” shorter than the 223.

Could be a typo...their website says 20'4" for the 204 and 22'3" for the 223

All of this is very true.... but I have something to add to it that he didn't know.... after that Snow storm that was mentioned... one boat was left with a huge hole in the side of it, the rest of the works was gone....in testament to who and what the Ballistic company and people are about...Jim Wells put an ugly plate patch on that hull and showed up to the tournament that was supposed to be a delivery. Not only did he tell his customer I'm sorry, but I brought this patched up boat to make sure we take care of you and you are not going to miss this tournament. Second part....Jim himself put his ass in this boat... it ran VERY WILL! This was not an easy day on the Snake River...it was rough water....Tell me a company that would do something like that to take care of a customer... let alone to prove his product ... himself.... point blank.

I’m 48 and I’ve fished all my life. And believe it or not I’m prepping to buy my first boat. I’ve owned a canoe and was co owner of a ski boat. The research is insanity. And I’ll say right now I’m NOT spending 90k on a boat. More like 50 at max!!! 40 or 30 even better. You guys should gear it down to a po mans boat. Lol.

I love Fishing & I love to take my Boat out to the Lake but these boat prices have me out of the new boat market. I could use a upgrade in boat. My 12 grand 26 year old boat I gave in 1994 still goes but I could upgrade but I just can't do it with these prices. I'll keep my old boat until it kicks the bucket. The middle income earners is priced out of the new boat market especially if he has a mortgage family and bills.

@@midgebarker4022 I out grew my boat years ago, its 22 years old now and I pulled it off the showroom floor. The graphs are useless by today's standards, no powerpoles, no jackplate, no gps even and almost no storage. Yeah I could upgrade some of that but it would still have no storage and only one tiny livewell so tournaments are not an option. I need a new steering cable put in but honestly wondering if I wouldn't be better off just liquidating the whole thing

Ridiculous money for all bass boats nowadays. They do appear to be very nice bass boats, but, I'd expect it for $90K. I'd feel like he could call Bullet, Allison, or even Blazer and talk to the owner of the company also. May have to ask for them.

I will totally agree Andy everyone wants to sell you a boat but no one wants to give service after the sale for instance ranger I used be able to call parts on the phone and order a part over the phone tried to call about three weeks ago stayed on hold for 45 minutes and never got to speak to a person guess Johnny Morris is going to ruin that brand as he has done on the other brand he has purchased for that reason I will never set foot in a Bass pro ever I hope he sees this post and tries to correct the problem but I bet he doesn't cause all he cares about is the damn money one thing about is Ranger and Triton kicked nitros ass for years in quality so if you can't beat them I guess you buy them lol

I know you guys agree I was just pointing out that bass boats are ridiculous in pricing for new. Ranger to even ballistic it doesn’t matter about customer service. Customer service and craftsmanship is great at lambo but doesn’t mean the car should be that much. The point is bass fishing let alone fishing is usually a middle class economics things. You throw in tournaments guys can’t afford these boats. One of these company’s needs to make a 20 footer below 70k tournament ready to go.
