Great overview - easy to follow and useful for beginners I am only just starting to use teams. My organisation has just one team with all company members but I think they would benefit from smaller team and have a private team for security of having confidential documents stored. I recently added a Task Planner which is ever so useful but started this on the web. Is there any way of adding this to be used in teams rather than directly on the web? or just add it to the smaller private team - Would really appreciate any advice you could share. :-) I am slowly looking through your other videos. I find your delivery and pace so easy to follow and relevant - Thank you!!

You could copy the Plan to another Group (pick the Team) and then pin the Planner Plan as a tab in one or multiple channels in the Team to use it straight from Teams rather than the web - this video might help (it's a little old) kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJiYY4uchrNjn6s

Intranet can i intergrate different teams channels sharepoint to other ms teams sharepoint? And if i want to consolidate multiple teams sharepoints to one sharepoints how do i migrate my files from one teams channel to another ms teams channels ?

Apologies, I'm not really sure what you are asking with "integrate," "consolidate," and "migrate" so hope the below helps: You can show one Team's files in another Team by using "Add cloud storage" in the files tab of a given channel, but this should be unnecessary if your Teams structure is fit for purpose as only people with access to the other Team will be able to see these files anyway. If you want to move files you can either do this from the move function within Teams, on SharePoint view or get an IT admin to use Migration Manager if you have a lot of things to move. Thanks for your content! Super helpful! Just starting to explore this as I'm coming from Google Workspace. Having some questions on private channels. The scenario is we have a Marketing Europe which is actually split into different Teams based on location. They have some common files and some common information to share. On the other hand each location should also have its dedicated files, with clear permission separation. With your information I understand that I either do dedicated teams or one team and than choose private channels which come with its limitations right? #Intranet

Hi Daniel - thanks for your comment. There is quite a lot of nuance - happy to jump on a call to see if I can help: www.meetimeservices.com/call Briefly here, a Team and a channel should only be used IMHO where collaboration exists - i.e. there will be lots in the posts tab of each channel. Where files are concerned the folder structure should be considered after the channel structure is in place as you can have folder-level (and file-level, if needed) permissions underneath each folder, with "general" as a catch-all. In general, if you want Marketing across Europe to collaborate then I would not advise splitting this down into private silos. Even though they might not need to see each other's stuff, there will be massive benefits from working openly for people to discover best practices and trigger new ideas.
