Yo really cool deck Sam, but while watching this, I recommend that you play Imduk over Link Spider in this list. 1. Imduk is a dragon, so in the combo where you make S:P, you can make Hieratic Seal instead, which may be better while also being budget-friendly. 2. Imduk helps if you draw the World Chalice Guardian, because it lets you either extra normal it or special it when you link it off. 3. It has a decent going second effect, like a slightly worse Anima, which Link Spider doesn't have. I think the only benefit Link Spider has over Imduk is that you can make it with a Nib token or Hundred Apples token, but in any other scenario, Imduk's the same as Link Spider. Anyways, idk why I'm ranting.

If you're interested could you do a vanquish soul/Gladiator beasts hybrid? Looking at some cards that could be used in such a construct I'd found that the fusion monster Gladiator beast Gyzarus and vanquish soul Raizen can combo off of eachother to destroy a minimum of three cards depending on how you summon them and when you use their effects. I'd like to see a pro kind of build of this and the combos that could be achieved at it's peak.

I enjoyed Horus more. I’m not a fan of links and hate seeing the same links being used in every deck. The accesscodes, little knights, IP masq, etc. not to mention after seeing 3 blue eyes dumped to the grave so easily, an ultimate fusion play for blue eyes alter ultimate would be awesome to see in a blue eyes deck. But I get the deck. You’re trying to make it more competitive.

Haha bro, STOP. i swear on my pops last breath, I put this configuration together last year. I’ve spent the last 4 months fine tuning it. I fired exactly 4 cards and replaced them with more fluid choices , also switched up the synchro & Links except for one obvious synchro. Imma tell everyone it sucks now. I’ve also got a D.Magician deck that I consider legitimate tear 1. It’s got some blasts from the past but has stamina, with almost 0 interruption.

Went to locals and bunch of people recognize me as Tearlaments player, but i go every now and then when friends coordinate to go, BUT Tear is hit so bad that it HAS to try hard since OTS aint there yet(store just reopened and hasnt got it sorted out) i figured you know what ive never brought my childhood deck to locals and mixed what i saw from Sam and myself and got 3-1 loss to traptrix and dam the deck fights hard against stun, but the crux of the story is that EVERYONE laughed and was shocked i didnt bring Tear so it felt absolutely great tearing people down with the mighty engine of destruction 😅 dodged the Snake eye player i dont think he was playing Fire king but either way, and got a crazy ass idea to try because god dam waifus are so great.......might be a tad bricky but i hope its fun, Snakes with eyes of Blue 😅 wish me luck

Since Halq got banned, this deck ain't been the same. Konami needs to print some real main deck support for Blue-eyes and Dark Magician. I only got back into the game because of Halq and draglubion combos but now there's literally no way to take this to locals

Konami could just nerf Halq into not being able to Link climb at all and instead its for Synchro plays as the Synchro power of Halq is where Blue-Eyes Pure version truly shines, far stronger than the xyz version of Blue-Eyes even.

This just feels like a complicated way of playing Blue-eyes combo using a bunch of bricks. Nice video, but does not change the fact that Konami has not given Blue-eyes good support in years. It's mostly an issue with having no Starters, it's extenders are bad, no way to unbrick your hand, not enough lvl 1 light tuners, not enough dragon light synchros, and no Melody targets that can act independently.

Maybe if they didn't name everything "eyes of blue" instead of "blue-eyes", we wouldn't be in the situation we're in. If they errata'd all the "eyes of blue" cards to make them always treated as "blue-eyes" monsters, the deck would be significantly more viable.

@Briggsian - That's not needed. Instead I think it should be this for all Blue-Eyes support cards including the Eyes of Blue cards. "with Blue-Eyes in its text" This way you can search EVERYTHING of Blue-Eyes cards. Also Konami needs to change the With Eyes of Blue for their effects to work when normal or special summon. Would've been really nice if they were all hand effect special summons that way you can bait out negates. These changes would change everything. Konami should be focusing now on the continuation of Synchro path for Blue-Eyes as that is what made it meta in 2015
