Tip for bent cog or teeth: you can use a screw driver and bend the tooth or cog back,you might not get it perfect, but I have used this a lot. I had to do it a lot on my old bike (2014 Trek Fuel EX) so far on my NIcolai/Geometron G1 I have only done it few times, it was just in few spots, things like this can happen, but on my previous bike I think the bike it self was the problem, cus it was so crazy, it happen on Xt M8000 11-46T too, but also that bike has issues with bending hanger with my just riding hte bike, and the harder I rode the bike worse the problem got, but that bike has many other issues, enough about that. so far I like the 11-50T Sunrace Cassette. I have the HG version, so I don't have the XD conversion thing.

how has your experience been with Eagle cassettes? some people no longer use Eagle cus they destroy the teeth,cogs, I saw few few bikes on the web with Garbaruk cassettes, I saw one in Geometron Facebook group too, the guy is satisfied with it so far, he was also destroying Eagle cassettes. so far SunRace is acceptable, but it does not keep the chain on as well as Shimano XT when backpedalling, this is due to the guiding ramps on the cog I think, but if going down a chainring size it solves the problem, it did that for me on 11-46T when I used 34T and went down to 32T, now I still use 32T, but 11-50T and it works great so far. I have a review on my website, but I can't really compare the durability, it's difficult to do with 3 cassettes, and varied usage.

How do you remove the adapter already installed on the wheel??
@pchlars5666 Жыл бұрын
I have an interesting issue. Instalation went good. But when I install the wheel it is not spinning. :( My frame and hanger touches the lockring and wheel is jammed.. It seams casette is to Wide. I checked spiders and spacer alignment. :( Im pissed Any one had this problem?

Make sure the bottom half with the xd lock ring is fully seated and tight, then reinstall the top rings. Unless its a manufactured issue, it should fit.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I suspect that when Sunrace made this cassette, they didn't factor in all different brands of xd hubs... What rear hub do you run? I have the Race Face Vault, and I don't think the Sunrace adaptor threads far enough into my xd freehub body, hence it causes the lock ring to stick out farther than it should, so when the Thru-axle is tightened, the lock ring touches my dropout and seizes. Also the 3 smallest cogs are made crooked slightly. This cassette is garbage. Go for Shimano, bite the bullet and buy a proper HG freehub body to work with Shimano.

I'm not sure, shimano stuff is pretty picky about using shimano parts.

Hi there, i Need an advice. I put this cassette but the last bit that protects the hub from dust its blocked inside the adaptor and doesnt turn with the hub.
@MTBGarage4 жыл бұрын
There 2 pieces to this cassette, and they use 2 different tools, use a freewheel tool to get the outer lockring off, then a regular cassette tool to turn the inner XD driver sleeve, once that's on, then you can put the gears on, and then put the regular lock ring on. Does that help?

@@MTBGarage the issue Is that It Is already on the XD driver so i cannot use the cassette tool from inside. I am now trying with plyiers...
@MTBGarage4 жыл бұрын
I was able to spin the whole thing off using the lock ring because they were seized together, the xd sleeve can also be pulled out of the cassette, then I used a vice to hold it in place.

Hi, what chain ring did you use upfront with this and did you find that the power /range ratio is much better. I am on a sram 10-42 with 30t up front and want greater range
@MTBGarage4 жыл бұрын
I run either a sram 28 or 30t depending on where I'm riding, 28/46 is basically the same as eagle, but I like the feel of 30t most of the time.

Does the cap fall on an XD core of the jgbike brand?

I'm not familiar with jgbike, but on the cassette, yes the XD core can separate, it's not the best design.

hello! thanks for the video. Did you happen to change to a new chain after replacing 11s SRAM GX 11-42t to this cassette because of the length? Currently, I'm planning to update my 11s SRAM GX for climbing purposes and your video pops up. I do not intend to grab the latest SRAM 12s with the massive 52t for my rd and shifter is still working fine, and since I'm a firm believer of "run 'til it fails".
@MTBGarage4 жыл бұрын
I added a bit of chain going to the 46t from the 42, but I don't remember exactly when I needed a new chain. I have since upgraded to full eagle, and it shifts very good when it's new, I kept the 11spd for my second bike though and it works well enough for that. I've seen a few other companies like Garburuk making very nice 11 speed cassettes with extended range, BUT if you try and run a 50t, I'm worried that that chain is too long, and when you are in the 11t it will be floppy, this is one area they fixed with 12spd.

Does it really wobble a little on freewheel?
@MTBGarage4 жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking? when you get it all snug, it's solid enough, but trying to seperate the two pieces becomes a problem. Mine bent a cog, that's what's keeping the chain from staying in that gear. It's one of those "you get what you pay for" products, it works, but expect a little extra work.

This cassette is a horrible design. The separate adapter got completely stuck on my Sram 900 hub and will not come off. The lockring also gets stuck, as mentioned in video. Avoid sunrace products, not worth the discounted price and is a compromise on many levels.
