Good Morning. Please I am a nursing associate in my country. Please how do I transfer my license in the Uk and also upgrade myself to a registered nurse or top up to a degree. Thank you

Hi Marylin, you need to go through our professional registration nursing body The UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) for the correct information as Nursing Associates and Registered Nurses register through the NMC in the UK. All the information is on their website. Good luck with it all.

Good morning, I just came out from college and I want to do a nursing degree apprenticeship, I don’t know how to apply, where should I start from please 🙏🏾

Hi Linda are you at college in the UK? If yes, you could start by contacting apprenticeship leads in UK hospital or community trusts. See my video 'How to Become a Nurse: Different Routes into Nursing' for some information on different academic levels & routes. You are more likely to be offered a Nursing Associate Apprenticeship with employers that you will need to top up for a Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship. Some employers do offer full degree apprenticeships. Also Unis that offering nursing degree apprenticeships will give advice if you contact course lead.Good luck Linda 😊

@@carolforde-johnstonyes, I watched your video and you said I need to work with my employer for a while, does that mean I need to work in the NHS for awhile and then approach my employer

@@lindaugwu693 Hi Linda If you look on the adverts when they are released it will say the criteria for application. I would contact your local apprenticeship leads and Uni leads as a start to ask them when they are next advertising for apprenticeships and whether you stand a higher chance of securing an apprenticeship if you work for them. Some UK employers offer apprenticeships that you apply for and you don't need to work for them but you usually need health and social care or nursing assistant experience to apply. However, many health care assistants apply with their own employer. Different employers may have slightly different adverts and application criteria so it's always best to check with them. I hope that helps. Best wishes

@@carolforde-johnston this is my last question 😂😂, sorry Say I’m a healthcare assistant how many months should it take me to finally approach my employer and ask them about my interest in nursing apprenticeship degree

@@lindaugwu693 Don't worry at all Linda, sometimes it confusing as different employers have different application criteria and some ask for 6 months experience, others a year. When ever you feel ready you can approach your employer. Many nursing assistant applicants ask about apprenticeships at their interview before they start their job to find out what different employers are offering. You could apply for a few nursing assistant jobs and then choose which employer offers the best opportunities. Never be afraid to ask at interview and before you apply for jobs too. Contact employer apprenticeship leads who will give you the best advice, you can find their email addresses on the employer websites or contact employer recruitment leads if you can't find contact on the employer websites. Good luck!
