Do it with both people carrying concealed, that would be the best street or real life scenario.

That's not the point of this series.
@barrymccaulkener88282 жыл бұрын
If Zero was concealed it would be much more difficult to defend the knife.
@maximusjoseppi59042 жыл бұрын
It's different no matter what.. you're not going to play patty cake in real life, you're not going to have a start timer, you're not going to want to limit force in your initial counter, the attacker will likely already have their weapon out at the "start," etc. If you are that close, you will almost assuredly get cut, you are just hoping to cause incapacitating damage before you get cut too badly. This is good practice though no matter what. A good physical attack before trying to draw your gun looks to be the most effective response but they can't really do that here
@HeartlessKnave2 жыл бұрын
This is the most recent video of this by Zero, but there is an older whole series of "Elite Knife Fighter vs Elite Gun Fighter" on "Funker tactical". That's why it says 2022 here. Zero previously covered many differences, including Zero having concealed carry.

Thank you for this interesting demonstration. You both are highly skilled with the respective technique and this shows clearly, that there is only very few room to get out of a knife's way, when distances are close. Even with two or three shots placed, there remains a certain risk of taking serious injuries, before the attack stops. Well done!

Here we see the biggest determining factor in a Blade-on-Bullet confrontation is not just the skill of either party but distance. Distance is your friend; get far to get safe.

Another point to consider is that when the knife wielder starts taking rounds, a majority of the time they won't just "stop" or drop dead. They will keep aggressing and slashing with whatever weapon they have. Many people who have been shot and actually survived have stated similar experiences, in that they didn't exactly know when they were shot. Main takeaway: Keep creating distance (ideally, large lateral movements and NOT backpedaling) even once you begin firing on a knife attacker.
@JoBlakeLisbon Жыл бұрын
Sure. There is a seal who said that they started shooting to the head and spinal chord when they realised a lot of guys weren't dropping. To be honest, the biggest take-away is to plan ahead and think carefully about your safety, far, far ahead of time. 99.9 percent of the threat is eliminated by proper, realistic planning and knowledge of the areas you are going into.

Um, instructor Zero could end the 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 conflict over dinner but knowing a knife is coming is different. Truly enjoy the content
@snteevveetns2 жыл бұрын
No if instructor zero doesn’t know where the knife is coming from it’s a different story…also all this shows is action v reaction speed & adding distance
@aleksandarnedeljkovic81042 жыл бұрын
Action vs reaction true , but it can be compensated through being faster and distance . Not knowing knife is coming and where from is real problem

I don't think this is an accurate representation. You were face on holding his hands and then initating the movement so he had to react to you and due to gap reaction you will have the advantage. He doesn't attack you from the side or behind either (common)where you would have a significant disadvantage.

@@aleksandarnedeljkovic8104I saw in person only one fight in my life between a person with a knife and another with a gun It was 25 years ago in my country of origin in Cuba. guns are illegal there but some have, on the outskirts of an area in the capital famous for drinking and partying called ''la tropical'' two men started to fight I don't know why, one pulled out a knife and the other a gun (a Makarov) there were about 3 meters or 9 feet between them and when the one with the knife pounced on the other one who already had the gun pointed, he only shot twice in the chest and it was not like many say that the one with the knife continues with momentum in reality it was even a little funny, it was as if they had disconnected the electric current, he fell on the spot with his body straight forward, his hands crossed to his chest and his feet stretched out, and he didn't even move when he reached the ground, maybe a bullet hit the heart or the spinal column but it was a death at the moment, of course I know that doesn't always happen but it can happen, that's why a few years later when I arrived in the USA and heard the saying '' do not bring a knife to a gun fight '' I always think about that fight I saw when I was 19 years old...
