I'm a little confused -- in the video you stress that the important skills are spellcraft and UMD and the others are secondary, but the first life build on the old forums takes Jump and UMD. Is this an error, or am I missing something?

Nice build. If I build an Abyss Warlock using the mantle of Magus Chill Aura, would my vortex, auras and eldritch blast still heal the undead?

well my comment on the last video was deleted so i'll ask here. i tried my first warlock and made the pact with the Abyss, and then i realised it's aweful and im dealing no damage to undead (and even more stuff later on). Is there a way to this build strong or should i just give up and go though lesser reincarnate / TR at 20?

You can't really change the pact once you make the warlock unfortunately, so if you don't like it you will have to start again. Abyssal pact is a bit iffy because the damage will end up being lower in a lot of cases due to immunities from undead and constructs, but the undead form you gain at 15 and the incredible self healing from that point makes it very durable and strong over all. I've played an abyss and enjoyed it, but it does have some slower moments early game.

Hey Strim, this damage is too low to consider you as DPS build, this is not a tank, not a healler not a dps, its just +1 player on the party. Any chance you make ''TOP dps builds'', ''top heallers'' ''top tanks'' ''top CC'' ''TOP nukers'' with all best equipments and stuffs like augments etc... ? i say that because our comunity is OLD, we all alredy have basicaly everithing, or almost everything. so if you do this(i mean your itention) to help, focus on the really good endgame builds, or create a place for this kind of builds pls. Dont take this coment on the bad side pls, im tiping because i really think you can make this happen.

The thing is, I don't do the type of content you want me to do. I do R10 quests and r1 raids, which mybuilds work for. The super min-max of the game just isn't something I find that interesting, so I prefer to focus my content on more fun and varied builds, as well as content aimed at newer players. Every once in a while I will post content that is hyper optimized, but often times that is using the framework of others (who I make sure to give credit too) since that late stage of building just isn't as interesting to me. There is a gap in the market though! Why not try your own hand at making content aimed at the 0.1% of the player base? I don't want to, but that's doesn't mean someone else can't :)

@@Strimtom ok, no problem, I personally don't think we are 0.1% in my opinion we are definitely more than 50% without a doubt. I say this because it's very difficult to find this kind of content and since you always do builds I'm sure you could do that. But if you don't want to do it, I respect it 100%. Making the builds is very complicated when you try to maximize everything and spend a lot of resources and often I end up discovering that another path ends up being more efficient, but anyway, it's just an explanation, I really respect your content and would like to apologize if I offended you, It really wasn't my intention. I really like your videos and I think you contribute a lot to the community, I want that to be clear. thanks and sorry for anything

​@@pauloramalho7952 No offense taken! I just wanted to explain why I don't make that type of content usually. People vastly overestimate the demand for omega geared builds (because they take 6-10 months to get gear for) and people vastly underestimate the time it takes to make those builds.

Its nice you come up with these slightly unusual unique styles of play , its fun for a different flavor of playing the class , i find the Warlock a lil to repetitive with just being a blaster all the time , i do that a lot with other caster types which mostly have a much higher verity of things to do anyway , to each his own in play style favs tho , but unusual builds is really cool for this long time player , who has finally got to hanging around a bit at end game doing high reaper and raids .. kinda a old timer need a change lol

if i wanted to be able to do locks especially and also traps, would the roguey bardy warlock be considerably worse than this one in combat with the imbue since this seems like a further development of the same concept, or would that build still be viable? I dont do much epic content i just like the heroics stuff

the abyss warlok using death aura proc both the primal avatar 100 temp spell points and the cocoon very often

Do you think a reincarnated Razorclaw doing two hand wraps would work in place of daggers for this build? Also would Ek/Es be viable at all, for the arcane strike imbues

Yes, but probably would need racial points to get full benefit out of razorclaw shifter

I'd hate to ruin something.... But my google skills are neither reveling an answer nor finding anyone else having this query. How is i am still able to log into the HC server and play?(others are still playing as well *3/14/23*). Do they intend to leave it up and just wipe fresh at start of next season?, Any thoughts ? perhaps the information is available somewhere but im at a loss.

The wipe is coming soon. It's currently the after party where people can transfer their stuff off. You should see this grey scale take over your screen every 30-60s while playing, because the server is closing soon

Hey Strimtom, I love this build and just began the character. Thanks for the great builds and content :) Question though, what do you think of instead of going up the dreadnought tree (I would still grab the imbue dice and the bonus doublestrike prob depending on points) and instead finish the avatar tree for the form epic moment and mass frog. Figured the form fits the style of character as it does ice and lightning damage that can trigger the mantle all around you and Frog and DC's and the pet with the mantle would do okay damage on top. Idk, I am not super into the dreadnought style and wanted to shake it up but don't have a ton of experience with a build like this so figured I would ask :)

The main issue is that the T5 of primal avatar doesn't do direct damage like legendary dreadnaught; I was using the character for raiding mostly so direct damage is more important than anything else, but if you are more of a quest runner than the T5 of primal avatar can work just as well since you can frog things and make good use out of the epic moment

Oh alright. I'm mostly a casual single player (or maybe one buddy every once in a while) so that might work for me. Was thinking of Fate singer instead of dreadnaught too for reign, DCs, cut the strings, and all the other utility stuff provided.

Just picked up the game, and I'm curious if it's reasonable at all for me to go for this build. Warlocks (and especially bladelocks) are my second favorite d&d class, only behind artificers, so I'm willing to do some light suffering through unlocks to get it working as my first build.

This actually works super well as a first character! I specifically wrote 2 version for this one; my character with all my accumulated stuff, and a version for a brand new character. Sadly the DDO forums are still under maintenance at the moment, hopefully the will be fixed soon so you can see them!
