Smii7y, you can detach the bird, just not the alarm. If you cut the beam above the alarm you can move it to a more optimal position. I think you did great and in no way need to redo the mission to get the bird, but in case you want to, i wish you the best of luck. :)

Here's a possible reason why the alarm goes off even if the system is still attached to the object. Maybe the devs thought about players cheating if they were able to break whatever the alarm system is attached to and taking that close to the escape vehicle, there wouldn't be much challenge to that

I loved to see that you used the monstertruck inside the museum like I did. I used every car I could find on the map for my attempt and I never got even remotely close to getting the bird as well. I do gotta say though, you were way more careful than I was, instead of putting the monstertruck on the roof, I took it inside to put it up on the ramp. Not only was the museum completely destroyed, so was the monstertruck even before connecting the cables and it still wasn't as broken as my brain

The alarm box was set off when cutting the huge pole on the bird cage artwork because cutting the pole technically disconects it from the ground, therby setting it off as we've seen in other missions.

I'm sure you've long since learned this, but the bunker in the corner of the Lockelle lot allows you to refill your ammo. One thing I learned, however, is that Teardown has a bit of a bug where if you deploy enough explosives around the perimeter of your base building, the skybox can detach from the world causing all the objects to slowly fall except for things like water. I discovered this after deploying many many reloads worth of nitrogylcerin to the perimeter of the base. I could get it to happen pretty reliably.
