My daughter decided when she was 20 that she wanted a 1967 C10 Longbed so she looked around and eventually found one she liked, we drove it home over 400 miles and its been one of my favourite memories with her, she drove it all though University and afterwards until she eventually moved to live in Spain, odd thing is we live in the UK so she got some fun comments when she was cruising in her truck. This is going to be a great build and K8lynn is going to be one of the coolest people around driving this rig.

Just rebuilt an old Willy’s with my son and nothing better than this time together with your daughter. The fact that she puts up with Dad already means you have something that most dads wont ever have. Subscribed ! Hey can we get a camera on her head so we can see more of what she is doing with her hands and a little less of your face talking (don’t take it personally lol)- I feel like we watched a lot of video but not as much actual work (wrenching, cutting off bolts with grinder etc) as we could have. Good stuff either way!

Thanks! Mic is Hollyland Lark M1 on Amazon. Works great. We have the media kit for our GoPro, because it uses a 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable. Would work with DSLR camera no problem.

If you intend to drive this old junk on public roads you would be well advised to upgrade the sub standard brakes as traffic moves faster & there is 100 fold more of it on todays roads. Wildwood sells disc kits for EVERYTHING. !

You are screwing that truck up. It will be more valuable with the flathead. You can upgrade the brakes but it really doesn't need much more. Considering this truck's history and pedigree, you are going to destroy it's collectible value. Everything you are doing to this thing is wrong. Half way through the video I turned it off -- probably won't be back.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope you find a project done exactly like you’d do it. KZbin’s a big place and there’s probably someone out there with all the resources and know how you’re looking for. For now, I’m gonna focus on building a truck with my daughter that she can drive every day, any where she wants, without worry about reliability and drivability. I’m more interested these days in developing a love for cars in my kids than in excluding them from the process by demanding a restoration process that’s beyond them and doesn’t make the care desirable for them to drive. But, then again, I’m the kind of guy who doesn’t have an opinion about anyone else’s project that’s worth sharing unless they ask me. So, what do I know.

That's the great thing about rebuilding a vehicle to get it back to being roadworthy, you can build it the way you want. It's all about love of the process, not the "Omigawd, all that matters is making a profit". I've seen way too many vehicle that could be back on the road being enjoyed, but stubborn people demanding they want a concourse restoration instead just let it rot away because they find out they need to spend $30k-50k to end up at the point they feel is satisfactory, so the project never happens.
