You are the real deal, Sir. We've got to get the word out about this channel. It's criminal that you don't have 5X the amount of subscribers.

I love your old school gas torch. This is a great example of the earliest type of "hot rod" before gearheads had all the trick off the shelf parts available today. Strip all the extra weight, put on bigger tires on the rear (get rid of the wires and replace with steelies) and maybe put in a stroker crank and or rods to up the compression. Then find a bigger carb and fab a megaphone exhaust and take it to the salt to see how fast you could do a timed distance. It's a real lesson in the history of hot rodding. Love that you're taking the car back from lawn art to hot rod. Very cool.

Wow great to see you starting to make progress with this old car! Looks like was quite a bit of work just to tear down to every one of it's components. Honestly considering the cars age, didn't look like a lot of Rust cancer was eating it up too bad. So seems like minimal patching to panels and frame will be needed hopefully after sandblasting. Will now know full extent until that process is completed really.

Fantastic absolutely great watching the complete break down ready for sandblasting awesome 👍🏻

I don't normally subscribe., But this project has got me anxious. I've been following it for awhile now and I can't wait to see the museum piece I'm sure it will turn out to be.

Is there a differential in the axle or is it driving both halfshafts equally full time?
@rottersgarage2 жыл бұрын
There is a diff. Ive never opened one up myself, so this will be the first when I get to that point. Seems fairly simple, shimming is done by stacking different thicknesses of gaskets between the banjo and axle tube...

She's in great shape for being 94 years old ! Only question is on the cars from this era is all seem to have doors that don't seem to fit properly? Can this be corrected? Great job by the Way.
@jonathancunningham873910 ай бұрын
Yes it can many do it though it can be hard to do it perfectly from what I saw in other restoration videos.

How did you get the rear drums off? Were they tight or did you have to use a puller?
@rottersgarage2 жыл бұрын
I used a two jaw puller on them, but honestly it didn't take much force to pull them off, they were pretty loose.

I'm very surprised to see tha there is still same concept stuff on todays vehicles that this Model A has... Brake drums and that Clutch and stuff. It's like an OLD Modern whatever LOL

What’s up with the T body ?
@rottersgarage2 жыл бұрын
Picked that t up right before this coupe. Really nice sedan body... The plan is to put the supercharged 4 cylinder in it that I had in the Briggs body t bucked a couple years ago and back it with a 5 speed. Split wishbones, low down, traditional style build...

Those water pumps are a nasty thing to seal. Using a cord and some wax or something I think.
