For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame” Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”” Luke 19:10 God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins :D When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless you all! ❤️🕊

Despite all the joke comments, this is the first song I remember hearing. I was 5 years old, on the way to pre-school. The intro and first lyrics “welcome to your life” changed something in me. At first I thought it was a joke, a song made up for me. I decided that probably wasn’t true, which led to me realizing I had my whole life in front of me. I was just a little kid. I looked up at my mom driving, realizing I’d be her age one day. I remember every detail of that moment. The plastic texture of the red booster seat. The upholstery in the back seat of our Dodge Caravan. I’m 34 now. I’ve always wondered how and why I had such a profound experience to this song. When I hear it today, I still get that same feeling that I did in the booster seat. What is that feeling? How can it be so palpable yet somehow indescribable to this day?

This song, it's just magical. It really evokes a pleiad of emotions and brings out that unexpected sadness, mixed with some happiness along with nostalgia for a time when I wasn't even alive (2004 here). Like people said, it's the embodiment of every great thing about the 80's. I first heared it some 6 years ago and it stuck with me since, now I've finally found it and I couldn't be more happy. Love you all!
@GabrielRGomes4 жыл бұрын
the "Nothing ever lasts forever" hits me hard. It's incredible how we never stop to think about it not from a sad perspective. Everytime i hear this line being sung, i feel joy. We can really make this carnal experience worth it while we're here, knowing that nothing will last. It's positive nihilism condensed in one line when you think about it.

This is my favorite song. I’ve always loved the 80s and 90s era, the movies, the songs, hanging out with friends, it all sounds so fun to me. This was the first 80s song that I listened to and this song is what got me into the 80s era. Usually I get sick of a song pretty quickly, but this song, for me, is the type of song that I’ll never get tired of hearing. I especially love the part where he goes “Most of freedom, and our pleasure. Nothing ever last forever” It takes me back to the good old times and even though I wasn’t born in that era, it still makes me remember all the good times that happened during those times.

Also my favourite song. I feel like I should be in a car ride with my family in the hot summer or something when I listen to this. I never try to listen to this song too much, but once I come back to it once every month or so, it’s magical. It’s too good to be good.

Part of me is filled with pain. I’ve done many things I regret and such. This song helps me accept them and try to move on knowing I can’t take the pain I caused back.

I know exactly what you mean about that, but sometimes you just have to let go of something. Even if it hurts, “ Nothing ever last forever “ is the part where it hurts hard.

As an 80’s kid I can say this jam was played A LOT in our home. Along with a lot of other good music that completely craps on todays music.
