one simple take away from this is that deku’s development strength wise has been a satisfying thing to see aside from all the emotions and conflicts, reminiscing on how much he had to hurt himself just to use his quirk to contend against strong foes up to now really shows how far he’s come in the “eventful” year he’s spent at ua, he went from using 100% and breaking himself but only using it if he needed to, to full cowling almost 50% and having so much versatility, strategy, and combat capabilities in his experience against villains and watching his fellow peers skills to the point in his weakened state, someone with a strong quirk like shoji’s with dark shadow in the dark IN ragnarok mode along with kaminari couldn’t even hold him when he lost his temper, absolutely insane to think about and it’s something i’m still happy about cause that means once things get better for deku mentally and emotionally and he gets back to 100% health and unlocks the second users quirk it’s gonna be crazy seeing what he can do

But i agree on the mental health of deku, from me he’s always seemed to be a kid with bad anxiety they would joke around with every now and then before things took a serious turn, now he’s showcasing himself to be antisocial with others, very severe case of ptsd, depressed thoughts and outlooks on himself and how little he takes care of himself, and massive anxiety disorder, and with his burdens and responsibilities it all just clashes way too hard for it to be unnoticed

I think that they will call him out based on their arcs. Iida: Blindly rushing after a villain, thinking you're the one who should fight him. Todoroki: Letting the ideal of people who gave you the quirk dictate your actions. Bakugou: Pushing people away, because they want to help you. Then we have Uraraka ... that I think will call him out by acting like a MC would (bonus points if she quotes something he told Eri, when fighting Overhaul).

Don't mind if I chime in about the upcoming Chapter 321. This is going to be a long one but hear me out. 1.Should Deku breaks Todoroki's ice wall by some miracle, or him slipping from Tsu's tongue wrap, it is up to the remaining classmates (Aoyama, Hagakure, Mineta, Ashido, Kirishima and Class 1A Big Three) to stop Deku. And Todoroki himself can't risk of using his fire to immobile Deku like how Dabi did back in 2, Aoyama and Hagakure will do a tag team combo in (temporarily) blinding Deku from going anywhere which causes him to be trapped by Grape Rush courtesy to Mineta-Ashido Combo back from Joint Training Arc. Either that or maybe it gives Momo, Sero and probably Tokoyami some time to subjugate Deku for the second time but this time it SHOULD be working, given the hero's exhausted state. Ashido and Kirishima will talk to Deku like may others: With Kirishima reminds him about their time in saving Bakugo while Ashido calls Deku out that what he does is making Uraraka upset. Aoyama and Mineta chime in to talk to Deku too. 4. Speaking of the Class 1-A Trio, is not even THAT will stop Deku from leavng, Iida, Uraraka, and Bakugo are next to put the end of the chase: Iida will use his superspeed to at least trying to reach Deku and tell to his face about the Stain encounter and the Bakugo Rescue Mission, while Uraraka will try to save Deku considering her "Who will save the Heroes when they need them" quotes becoming even more prevalent than before, with her slapping him for the thrid time. Bakugo will be the last resort if not even Iida and Uraraka unable to reach Deku, and this will be Deku vs. Kacchan Round 3. 5.There will be a bonus flashback where Kacchan shared some information about the OFA with 1A classmates via All Might's research notebook in order to counter most of Deku's OFA techniques. That was the first time Kacchan gave the strategy to his classmates to at least not hurting Deku while subjugating him. He may even explained that he would be the class's last hope to stop Deku. 6. About that one scene about a mysterious vehicle heading towards the ice wall while Tsu tried to calm Deku down? Instead of Jeanist, I think that could be All Might and even _Stain_ joining the fray in stopping Deku from destroying himself. Contrary to those who deems that Stain will kidnap Deku and make him as his "disciple", or him joining the League of Villains to attack the UA, perhaps he will be the one to confront Deku and talk him out of it because as much as he loathe fake heroes, even he is mortified to see what the world is becoming after the War. In fact, seeing Deku's condition only makes Stain feel pity about the Last OFA and feel him being unworthy as a hero instead. 7. Oh, and to add a stinger as a cliffhanger, AFO is watching the "battle" between Deku and his classmate from his hideout and it gives him an eureka: Sending more assassins (who are even more powerful that Dictator or Lady Nagant) to eradicate Class 1A once and for all, all just to further break our poor Last OFA user.

First of all, you are on fire with that “Iida understands what Izuku is going through.” I think Ochaco will have a very poignant scene but I agree that Iida will try to make him see reason too. Like you stated things are going on in the background which makes the MHA feel lived in. If a week passes it passes for everyone not just for Izuku. Take MT Lady for example when endeavor became number one, her whole aesthetic changed from someone who wanted just spotlight to someone sitting at the metaphorical table contributing to the conversation. Things have changed even further due the system of order has broken down everyone has to stop up. I love your Analysis videos, they really are fantastic and filled with such insights. Thank you.

I feel like Bakugo will get to him to the most. This will probably be privately, if you guys saw, one of the last panels, all might’s car was in the panel. I think he might come in with Endeavour, Hawks, and Best Jeanist and take Deku. And Bakugo will probably ask (more like force but whatever) if he can come in the car with Deku and they saw sure. All might, Endeavour, Hawks and Best Jeanist will probably try get through him, say some random shit, then leave Bakugo with Deku alone. And Bakugo breaks down. He literally falls to the ground and starts crying silently. He never shows his true emotions to anyone except Deku, and he hasn’t seen him in for long, so he had to put on a face. Bakugo explains that he can’t do anything with Deku, saying things Deku wouldn’t expect. Maybe like Deku inspired Bakugo so much that he cannot become the number 1 hero without him. And then Deku tries to cry, but he can’t. He’s not able to. He falls to the ground next to Bakugo and remembers every single moment with Bakugo (which is a lot, most of the moments with Bakugo and Deku haven’t been shown on screen before UA) They just stay there for a while, silent. And then Bakugo brings Deku closer to him. He says something like “You scare the crap out of me, I can’t live without you” and then pulls off Deku’s mask just to see a huge scar across his face. “Where are you?” Bakugo says, like Deku is lost or something. This is just a small scene that I think would be so heart warming and wholesome. We need more Bakugo x Deku moments (not shipping them, like their friendship) and I think that Bakugo is putting on a brave face on everyone and can only show what he really feels like to Deku This is also super sloppy so if something like this did happen, hopefully it was a better version of whatever shit I just wrote 😅

Unpopular Opinion: For everyone saying that Bakugou will get to Izuku and bring him back to reality. You do know that it's technically Bakugou's fault why Izuku is like this right? The reason why Izuku is so self sacrificing and values others over his own life is because Bakugou bullied and tormented him for over a decade. He spent almost everyday making Izuku feel so worthless to the point were Izuku started to believe it. I know AFO had a hand in all this but at the bottom of it all what Izuku is now is the result of Bakugou's past actions like how Toya/Dabi is the way he is now because of Endeavour. I'm not saying its 100% his fault because Izuku did make his own choices but he still had a hand in all this. So I hope that Bakugou finally apologizes to Izuku and tells him he isn't worthless.

First of all, I never thought that Izuku would have high PTSD and anxiety disorder. I thought it was just some emotional suffering. I still doubt it though. But I kinda agree with Iida being the one to talk Izuku out of it. Many people tend to think Ochaco would be the one to save Izuku but I seriously doubt it. I know that Ochaco wants to be the hero that saves heroes but I don't think we would be seeing it just right now. But I think Todoroki, Bakugo and Iida, who have a more closer relationship than others, have a chance at making Izuku think straight. But don't you think that Izuku is already doing okay? at least in some way? I know that Izuku is obsessed with stopping AFO, he wants to be like All Might, who puts others before himself, he feels that he needs to fill All Might's shoes and put up a fake smile just so that everyone can fell at ease. But don't you guys think that Izuku is doing the right thing? AFO never stops with his plan, he never waits, he never gives time for the heroes to move, he is constantly on the move. So it only seems right in my opinion that Izuku is doing the right thing. We might have forgotten that Shigaraki is resting and Izuku knows that, which is why he thinks that he needs to stop Shigaraki before reaching 100% of AFO or he won't be able to take down Shigaraki with just 45% OFA. This FEELS like the right thing to do but at the same time IS the wrong thing to do (according to Class A that is). I should throw my hat up into space for Horikoshi. This is outstanding work.

PTSD is weird in concept and reality. I know it's confused with anxiety a lot as well, consider soldiers when they come home. Most people say they "seen" stuff, but in reality they're not traumatized, they're afraid because they no longer have the brotherhood they had with comrades in the military. 10% of military sees combat in the US, but 50% apply for mental help. I think in Deku's case it would be closer to being emotionally drained similar to how soldiers are in combat, they lose all connection to humanity and rely near purely on instinct and auto-pilot. That would make sense considering how he disregarded the second assassin. Aside from that, I think between Iida and Ochaco it's pretty much up for grabs and fair game. Neither of them would really overshadow the other in this scenario, and it's probably more up for how Horikoshi has planned out the story, because I remember hearing in an interview he wanted Ochaco to have a moment where she helps Deku, but I would think that would be later in the story, unless this is later in the story. But it could be both, you never know with Horikoshi.

@@gamerraider889 Ochaco is definitely gonna have a big moment alright. It's just that she is not going to be featured by herself. Hawks is also gonna play a part alongside her. That's what Horikoshi said in the previous Jump Giga Interview. When talking about romance in this anime, it very much feels predictable that Ochaco is going to end up with Izuku, but I seriously doubt that. There are many anime writers that tend to make things obvious for us, such as the Boruto and Sarada, Asta and Noelle(probably) relationships. The only surprising was Naruto, where he reciprocated Hinata's true love for him. Others were Demon Slayer, where Tanjiro saved kanoa from her insecurity. I'm saying maybe even BNHA might do the same plot twist, just so they can get the people hyped.

Todoroki, Iida and Bakugou are the ones who have the most leeway to call out Deku about being a hypocrite. He was the one who stepped in their arcs when they told him to stay away, now they can give him the payback. But then ... we have Ochako, that .... yeah, she's around him a lot and they interact frequently. But their interactions are mostly casual (for Shonnen standards). The one arc he could've get involved in her problems and helped her, she refused his help. And when he tried to be there for her when she failed, she threw him a uno reverse card and encouraged him. So, in a way, from his point of view, she shouldn't have more stakes on this than Koda. But we know she's one of the most invested people on his well being. I don't know if it is intentional or not, but she's kinda being setup as that character that only sees/hears about his suffering, and even though she supposedly doesn't have to, she will force herself into his problems and push him through it. In other words, she's almost setup in a position of a standard MC. And if Horikoshi pulls it off like this, I'll have to throw my hat into the stratosphere for this man!

Awesome video ! I hope Iida is the one to make that conversation with Deku. It is as you said ! Iida has a very good reason and understands Deku the most. It is also sad to see Deku become so paranoid to the point that he can’t even stay still or get close to anyone other than himself. If class 1A wants to be by Deku’s side they need to prove themselves, because at the moment Shiggy and All for one folds everyone if they decide to attack Deku with full force.

This chapter is definitely going to make me cry. This is why I love watching reviews, you just miss stuff or interpret things differently. I didn't realize that Deku was crying but no tears were coming out. Crybaby can't cry anymore :( And Dan's right, we need to see 1A kick some ass as a class. Imagine villains come in after they see half and halfs quirk, the grown heroes come late and see a ton of knocked out villains on the floor and 1A are all there catching their breath, backs to Deku, surrounding him. Then boom...Deku starts to cry. Everyone looks at him and hold back their tears, pans up and Deku let's out that scream from deep in his heart. Fuck. My own fanfiction got me crying haha

Ida seems more likely to break through to midoriya, but I also think that midoriya will have one of those iconic "Aghhghh!!" moments where they break down and act like their head will explode literally and accidentally hurt one of his classmates thus further pushing him down a path of destruction until he dies. Another possibility: Stain is going to put All might 6 feet down under, now that Midoriya isn't with him at the moment then he'll definitely lose his already lost mind. I feel like this arc is sort of parallel to a story about addiction. This is 1-A's attempt at an intervention, but Deku still hasn't quite hit rock bottom yet. I think he needs to lose someone he's really close with as a RESULT of trying to do everything on his own in order to learn the lesson here. I hate to say it, but we may see another important character die very soon.
