A lot of people think it's impossible to build a home for a poor mother who has been living in the same house for 25 years, but that's not true! In this video, we'll share real stories of the drought and how we were able to build a home for a mother in need.
The reason we decided to build a home for a mother in need during the drought is simple: because we can. We rallied together and made a difference, and we hope that by sharing our story, we can help inspire others to get involved and help change the lives of families in need. Thank you for watching!

Hi guys, I'm fundraising for the drought that has affected over 5 million Kenyans. Thousands of people are Trekking in search of food and water. If urgent interventions are not put in place, many are facing starvation. Livestock carcasses littering swathes of land in Northeastern Kenya. Thousands are fleeing to Neighboring counties in Wajir and Garissa. People are in dire of help after Many of their livestock were affected by the drought.

Congratulations on doing some real hard work in helping your local people. A small tip, do try to include more African products, and substitute the Western products with your local or African products which people will like more. Sugar can be substituted with sugar cane, jaggery. Ask them to buy some clay water bottles or even give them a few. Give them ideas to live, like tell them to collect some cash, and send one of them to the town to get essentials or even a job that will help them come out of the poverty. Ask them, to start a local business closer to their area, where there are people who can afford it. Tell them to rent out a bike for the village. A bike will help them immensely in carrying food items, and for other daily needs and that will help them to bring in water, talk to town people from far areas. I didn't see anyone having donkeys. They are like dirt cheap. Donkeys are incredibly effective at carrying food items and they should buy one to go to the town. Why are these people not even thinking about these ideas. They need a teacher too.

These are great ideas. But its not so easy as you think. People are literally dying from starvation and no drinking water. And most of the people are children, elderly people and women. If you are hungry and literally dont have anything to eat or drink you dont care if its western products or not. And donkeys, animals are dying because of lack of water and food. You just want to survive. But your ideas are great. They need immediate help/donations and rain. May god help them

Excellent job Geenyada!!!. My greetings for you from London. It's not easy all you are doing for this needy people. It's Kenya and just imagine they have a local MP and Mr Ruto their president and they have no touch or even bother since Kenya had independence and beyond. They always lived like this and even worse on their on. My attention for you Geenyada is please keep all receipts in a file with you for future refence and as you are finishing your Ture have a word with their local MP on what future promises/plans they have( The Government) for these people sufferings with no jobs and ask their local MP, why Mr Ruto's Government cannot arrange small businesses support and encourage self employment even to show that their is a government these people they have. Any way try to ask directly their local MP before you leave and make sure you accompany with some people not on your on. Always prepare your questions in writing before you visit them so that you are well organized and be assertive. We do not need to make politics but the situation of people in North eastern Kenya is totally disturbing in terms of living condition in all manners. All best!!!.
