I find this way more impressive then current totk speedruns. This is an honest man's speedrun. No item dupes, no clipping out of bounds and skipping entire battles, not even amibo use. And this was ran on release day! You sir are a gentleman and a scholar.

Thats not from being scummy, it was a gift. Yes some people pirate, but lets not assume everyone did, especially if they were willing to post it already =)

Super good performance there, and materials implementations are clutch. I can see that one of the setbacks is that Link doesn't want to stick to surfaces as good as before. Super bad for people who have BotW controls burned into their neurons. It feels as a lowkey Talus' buff also, i personally was super confused when one of them whooped me harder than a Lynel

Not a chance. The movement is too optimized at this point. I expect at most 10-20 more seconds can be saved, maybe a minute with TAS. It could be. People will continue competing for a while, but it would take inhuman luck in addition to perfect execution to beat this time. I wouldn't be surprised if this record stands forever.

Oot is 7 minutes. The start alone is about 7 minutes so I doubt with absolute certainty that it's nearly impossible. Nearly. There could always be a credits warp but with the first 7 minutes being mostly cutscenes I doubt it.

In the fight against demon king ganondorf, you can deflect ganondorf's malice beams like in ocarina of time, that also deals him damage so idk if it helps to beat it faster

Ok, from what I can see, phase 2 Ganondorf has exactly 2500 HP, as it took exactly 25 hits from a 50 ATK weapon to trigger phase change. Edit, I forgot about the x2 flurry modifier on the weapon. It's 5000 HP.

I lowkey enjoy this speedrun more than the current one, even though it's a lot slower. The current one is just rushing to the end with every glitch possible especially the weapon zuggling and killing boss in 5 seconds. Botw speedruns any% are at least fun with boss fights.

I question this, because there were multiple times where it showed you get hit while having only the 1 heart, and took no damage. Even with the close range flower bomb arrow explosion during demon army, you took no damage. And several areas of running through the red miasma, after you got to 1 heart, you took no damage. So gratz on the time, but questions taking no damage after reaching 1 heart.
