TEAS Tips: Buy the manual, learn all the math, and study the science section from the back to the front (it's all on there). Rest up! 4 hours of differing subjects is exhausting!!!!

I would like to thank you for uploading this video, it was very encouraging. I also took the Teas V and unfortunately didn't pass. I have the ATI Manual which is so awesome! The first time around I didn't appreciate it enough. Now I have been consuming myself in every subject mastering each one, well so far English and Math, Science is overwhelming. Came looking for positive words, and I didn't have to look any further. I don't know you but I am proud of you! And happy you kept pushing, I plan to do the same, and wish everyone that is preparing for the TEAS V much success, and Luck toward moving forward to our next step.

Thank you so much for all of your insight! I'm taking my test in a couple of weeks and I'm freaking out! I have all A's so far in my classes but this by far is putting me to my brink, just because so much is riding on passing. You were very detailed in what to study for and that is such a help!!! Congrats on passing your test and I wish you much success!!

@RedBeauty559 жыл бұрын
In California it is yes. We call it LVN.

QueenWandaful then why did you say you are on your second year? Also, how much does an LVN make where you come from? I'm hoping to move to Cali once I'm done school. thanks!

This video is hands down the most helpful video I've found so far! I took the TEAS V in November 2014 and scored a 70% so I was provisionally admitted which meant I had to go through a few more hoops before being accepted into the program. The junior college I go to gives automatic admission to students who score 80% and above but that just seems out of reach for me- I studied so hard to get that 70! Anyway, I finished my first semester of nursing school this past December 2015 and unfortunately I was unsuccessful by only a few points..I was devastated! I am reapplying next week for this coming fall semester, though. I figured I'd give the TEAS another shot and really push for that 80% so that my chances of readmission are higher. Thanks for your tips!

I watched other videos , but found yours to be a well of information. I have the ATI study guide, I took the practice exam to find my weakness ; science and math are the areas I need to work on. I have been studying off and on for about a month now and I plan to take the TEAS this month.

Thanks for you video, it's to the point. For those of you about to take the test, I would recommend buying the two ATI TEAS tests. I took one practice test today I got 78%, but got 55% in the science part. I was not prepared for many of the science questions and science is one of my strongest subjects. I also purchased the 3 TEAS practice test book and got high 90's in those tests. I'm glad I bombed though because now I know what I have to do. Good luck folks!

I really enjoyed watching your video. Ive watched others and didnt care too much for them. I got a couple chuckles out of it too. But most of all, I love how you said not to get discouraged if you have to do things more then once. I really needed to hear that, especially now. I took the test today and I do have to retake it. I was pretty bummed but I feel like since I have a better feel for it, I should do better next time. I agree that the ati book is very important to use. I went through the entire book myself but still, unfortunately, I didnt pass and I studied for hours everyday for like 2 months. I actually tried to grasp every single concept that I possibly could including memorizing physics formulas and temp changes that werent even on my exam.. My better understanding is in anatomy and biology yet my exam had very, very little of those topics covered. It was really hard! Lots and lots of chemistry and chemical equations which I didnt spend as much time on as I should have. Anyway, sorry for the long message.. I guess I just wanted to ask if you had any particular study tips. What did you do to study and how long did you study before your exam. Thanks, and I hope you got into nursing school :-)

Missed it by 5 😢. I'm all up in my feelings girl but so glad I found your video because everything you mentioned was on it. But my mistake was thinking A&P was all I needed and waiting until a week before the exam to open the workbook. The other funny thing is I always got pretty decent grades in English in high school but a lot of those questions I was like "What the who?" Lmao but anyway I really gotta take this thing piece by piece and I guess I retake it in Feb some time. I'm so pissed girl.....,
@ExtendedStudent4Real10 жыл бұрын
Sweetie Pies Girl we are going to put our feelings to the side and conquer on, and no one is going to the wiser. I don't know anyone in a nursing program who passed every test (TEAS and NCLEX) and every class the first time. Most people retake something.

Very true. I was beating myself up about it at first but at least the opportunity is there to retake it. Like you said, just gotta put my feelings aside and conquer on!!!!!

I do fantastic in per reqs but anytime I take a test I'm not sure what will be on it, and with such a variety I tend to not do well. I am even a hard core flash carder as well lol .With that being said how would you recommend studying as far as how long each night and how many months before taking the exam ??
@mckenna86638 жыл бұрын
Just took and passed the test a few hours ago. 1000% agree about getting the study guide (BTW... TEAS VI starts on August 31, 2016. There is a new study guide and the say that the changes are significant enough to make the old study guide obsolete. BE CAREFUL!!) Regarding the Earth and Life Sciences....that INCLUDES Chemistry. I am NOT good with chemistry and it brought down my average in that subject QUITE a bit...BEWARE - know your chemistry - or at least as much as the study guide suggests.

Hello, i am taking the revampted TEAS tomorrow. 10/27/2016. I took it 2 months back and missed it by 2 points. I got discouraged but God. I purchased the new book and i have the old book. I went through the new book 3 times. I timed myself with the exams in the back. I set my TIMER for at least 10 min lesser. My final composite score, 74% I have prayed, and I have fassed. I am all in Gods hands.

I'm going to be taking the TEAS (in Ca) in June and I'm starting to study. It's hard for me to retrain info and I get anxiety when I'm in a room w/a bunch of ppl as well as taking a test that's basically creating a foundation in life. And the way I study is repetition; meaning militarily have to write something or read something over and over to the point where I basically can say out load w/out having to read it from a price of paper. My Question for you is.. How did you star to study? I understand you studied back-front but did you just started reading?
