@Maina B I was thinking the same although if the oil is good and utensils are hygienic, it wouldn't be dangerous for health. Sometimes you can eat & enjoy the snacks. In Ayurveda it's mentioned we should not completely ignore oily food and taste that we are craving fo because it can be our body's signal. It's about taking care of our body & balance according to our prakriti overall diet seasonal change.

@@vimalars7481 THIS IS NOT TARO or any variety of Colocasia.THIS IS TAPIOCA ( KAPPA..MARACHINI..POOLA..MARAVALLI ETC IN NEIGHBOURING STATES). Brought to India by CONGRESS AND POPULARISED BY COMMUNISTS DURING POST WORLDWAR II as a solution for rice shortage.The root was peeled and cut to small pieces and dried , or parboiled and dried ,for future use for its starch. Now used as vegetable or source of starch in textile industry.And it is used to make SABU DANA/ SAGO ( TAPIOCA GRANULES) used as HEALTH FOOD IN CHINA..JAPAN AND NORTH INDIA.PART OF FIVE STAR CUSINE Kappa and Fish. DIFFERENT VARIETY IF CHIPS ARE MADE..PROFESSIONALS CAN MAKE VERY LONG CHIPS IN PURE WHITE FINISH. ALWAYS FRY IN COCONUT OIL. USE FRESH TUBERS NOT DEHYDRATED BUT " MADE TO LOOK FRESH" BY VENDORS. BEWARE OF THE FACT THAT TAPIOCCA flour is sold as costly ARROWROOT POWDER and used even by big multinationals to make " THIN ARROW ROOT " BISCUITS, by using small letters ..Tapioca as ingredient. Fried tapioca scrapes is more crispy!!!

Tapioca is known to world since 30 years but we Kodavas from Kodagu (coorg) are using it as breakfast wit curry since hundreds of years.there are so many other form of potatoes which are eaten on daily basis here apart from tapioca. it is a Carbo rich fibre rich food gives healthy carbs...
@johnutube56512 жыл бұрын
It was introduced in 1880-1885 C.E. by the then Maharaja of Travancore, Vishakham Thirunal Rama Varma after a great famine hit the kingdom, as a substitute for rice. Tapioca is widely consumed across Kerala. It is taken as breakfast or as a staple food.
@yathish43302 жыл бұрын
@@johnutube5651 oh good to know keralites also consume it as morning breakfast 👍. Kodavas from Kodagu are using it way early than 1800 as it was grown naturally in forests in large numbers so ancestors used to dig it (other form of tapioca) and there are currently 3 versions of this which is consumed today those days it had more varieties which are lost in progress of lifestyle..
@johnutube56512 жыл бұрын
Do you have any evidence ? Tapioca is not native to India. It is a South American plant introduced to India in the 17th century by Portugese.
@yathish43302 жыл бұрын
@@johnutube5651 I don't think online facts are true as it depends on who records it. I believe in our ancestors than some online update. You have told u consume I told I consume we are good in our senses , so I don't need to prove anyone here as this is a forest natural product and not some Spanish or Portugal whatever cultivated stuff
@johnutube56512 жыл бұрын
@@yathish4330 Your answer is laughable. Get your facts dear. Tapioca is not a native plant. It was introduced recently as 18th Century. You will not see any reference of this item in any of written literature prior to that. And, coconut, tomatoes, red chillies, cashew nuts.. Lot of these items were also introduced at some point in history. I am not relying on online resources alone. You could ask your own elders or your own religious scripts. You will not find any references. If not tell me which book has reference of tapioca?
