The CRAZY thing about the song is that Haley wasn’t feeling well when she arrived to do the song with PMJ and she told them she wanted to do it the first run. This was the first run. It was SO good that another wasn’t necessary. Haley is simply PHENOMENAL!!

Thanks Travis for getting to this so soon! I love Angelina and I love PTX but now you've discovered the best singer on the planet. As you know Haley came in 3rd on American Idol in 2011, which was robbery but she has been relatively successful since doing her kind of music which is more jazz and blues. She has released some albums.. Lo-Fi Soul has many great originals. This was recorded in 2015 the same year she covered Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love" for a Wrigley's Extra Gum commercial that went viral. She just released a new song a couple of days ago that is awesome "Roll The Dice". As far as PMJ, their most viewed videos have Haley as the lead including: 7 Nation Army, Blackhole Sun, All About That Bass,Mad World,Oops I Did It Again and Love Fool. Every one will capture your attention and blow you away. Travis, I've got to love your channel because your reacting to all of my favorite stars!!!! Thank you!!!!

She and morrisette amon are tied for me in best singers. Both have amazing technical ability, onsets offsets growls slides pitch and vowel modifications for days. Travis, PMJ brings modern music back into different stiles. Scott Bradlee, founder of PMJ, often asks musicians winning American Idol if they want to try out his Band. He leaves them their freedom. Those talent shows often, chew up the artists for profit and than spit them out, to be on their own. (seriously no conspiracy theory but hard facts told by many artists). After a few years of existence, the rumor mills among the musicians told that if you work with PMJ, it is a real career step ladder. Many of the musicians, that worked with Scott Bradlee, today can choose where to play, they even are invited to Las Vegas. But when Scott calls, maybe about a tour or just a gig, most of them hurry back. PostModern Jukebox has about 50 Bandmembers changing. Oh, this knowledge is partly from an Interview Morgan James (Dream On) had with Elizabeth Zartloff (The Carismatic Voice) had. Some of them, like Haley and Morgan James have their own channels today, thanks to Scott Bradlee, because he brings an idea about a song, but the musicians themselves develop the performance, including a bit of comedy. As usual stay safe and sound, watch your TeaCup. German greetings
@vidpie3 жыл бұрын
Scott Bradlee started out in NY. PMJ achieved viral recognition there with Robyn Adele Anderson covering Miley Cyrus's We Can't Stop' (25M views). He then moved to Los Angeles and, in tapping the talent there, found sax player Jacob Scesney who went to school with Casey Abrams and occasionally performed in his band. He introduced Scott to Casey and Haley. This was not long after Scott had arrived in Los Angeles. PMJ typically records from his home, but he wasn't really settled yet so the first videos featuring Casey and Haley were recorded at an ad agency with an in-house bar. (Haley recorded "Habits" which has picked up a million views in just the past week because it was recently used in a TikTok meme) When Haley recorded "Creep" that is when PMJ really went viral. The song reached the top of FB trends and remained in the top 10 for an entire week. PMJ and Haley contributed to each other's success, which helped him draw new talent. Couple of notes: PMJ recorded "Creep" previously. That version has 95 million FEWER views. Blake Lewis was a runner up on Idol and he's appeared with PMJ, but no winner has yet.

I just recently discovered Postmodern Jukebox myself! As others have said here, it was founded in 2011 by the piano player, Scott Bradlee. He does most of the arranging of the songs. Most of the other musicians change from song to song, as well as the singers. He takes a song and reworks it to fit into a jazz/swing genre of like the 1920 to 1950 or so era of popular music. Most of the guest singers I have seen are really excellent, but they haven't quite hit that big time star category yet. I call it undiscovered stars. One of my favorite Postmodern Jukebox songs is "Closer", sung by Kenton Chen. Kenton is fabulous! Please consider reacting to it! Great reaction! Thank you!

You'll get a batch of around 5-10 songs with multiple recommendations (all will be great). There are *hundreds* to choose from. My recommendation (I have several, which I've stated at other locations) would be ... - Is there a song from the past 25 years that you despise? - Is there an artist that you refuse to listen to? - Is there a genre of which you are just not a fan? Pick one (or more) of those, and go to the PMJ channel, then search the videos for that song (fair chance you'll get a hit), that artist (really good chance you'll get hits), or that genre (guaranteed you'll get hits). Press 'Play'. I'm serious. Nine Inch Nails as 70's funk. Lizzo's 'Juice' redeemed. My Heart Will Go On rediscovered in Doo Wop format. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For as Gospel. Bieber and Swift turned enjoyable. :-D

She did it in one take according to Scott Bradley. Haley wanted to redo it because she felt she could do it better. But Scott said "No I think we got it". I wish Haley would sing more of the old classics today.
