Will skipper take over from Pro Foil, or still be available? Looking for a crossover prone/wing board for the windy days. How to choose between skipper and pro foil? Thanks.

Hi Benjamin. No not at all. The Pro Foil is much more user friendly and has a better low end. The Skipper is for experienced riders that want to do hard carves and hit the foam.

just learning. have a 4'2 30L im 70kg. Heck of a time catching waves. practiced a session with my 60l wing board and was catching lots of waves and getting to my feet. I know once i get up, my pumping will be severely hampered by the 60l board but would I be best to keep practicing with the bigger board until i get lots of pop up practice? I'm in Canada and ride on lake ontario so only get small wave condtions when we get them. Thanks MIke.

Hi Mike. A 30L sounds very small for you. Especially on lake waves, I would go for 37L minimum. The shape makes a big difference as well, and so does the type of foil you use. A 60L wingboard is good to practice, but too slow to pump. So look for something in the 37-40L range, and 4'6-5'0 long

@@appletreesurfboards Ok thanks so much for the response. My freind is using a 40L Appletree wing board and it works excellent for him. He just ordered a 30L Appletree prone board. He is already very good at prone foil. I'll take a look at the line up too see what would work best. Ideally, I'd like a board I can use for winging in high wind also.

@@mikeb4414 Hi, Definitely try his 40L sliceV2 if possible! that is the board that works best for both high wind wing and some prone foil as well
