Useful and to the point! Apprecitate the visual ruler as a guide too! Don't have the cash on hand to go back to the Luthier so going to try at home and let it set a bit. He lowered/sanded my saddle down last time and lowered the action but I still get a lot of string buzz

Thanks dude, this is exactly what mine is doing on A and D string, does a BR- 160 have a small arch behind the saddle, made in 2005, noticed it wasn't flat, thanks for the info on the site, you and Ben top notch with the instruments.

Thank You So Much for posting this . Yesterday same problem occured with my guitar I watched bunch of videos and loosened the truss rod and it worked . But after that I was scared that what if I have loosened it too much .After watching your video I felt good that I did it in right way .🙌

I just bought a rusty old guitar with a lot of potential for my students to use as they learn a new hobby. The guitar has that tiny sound you described so when I get home this evening I’m going to put your fantastic advice into action. Thanks for a wonderful 11 minutes of help.

Make sure to tune back to pitch after you adjust your trussrod or it won't be right.

Also use a straight edge that sits on the fretboard not the frets.

maybe too much tension or too big of adjustments, loosen strings and let the neck rest after making small adjustments
