That is the best video I have seen on this subject. Good job!

Never a problem holding for wind with second focal plane because the shooter will relate the hold to the known size of target.

That was a very good explanation. I do believe that I would go with ffp

Just thought: You should put the inverted T for Measurement on the FFP and the Crosshair on the SFP. Best of both worlds!

What power is the MOAR-T reticle calibrated on 7-35x56 (C626) ? The power selector doesn’t have a R it only has very small dot on 17.5x

Does ffp even matter if ur scope is a 1-6x and your shooting style is majority 100 yards or less?

I had a shit ffp for my first one wasn’t empressed always said sfp was better then I got a good ffp I wouldn’t go back it’s more accurate less dialling if you get a good one you won’t go back.

How to use the MRADs to calculate the range when you own a second focal plane scope? The manufacturar writes it is with 10x zoom 1 Mill but how to caltulate it if i zoom more or less?
@ludamane84404 жыл бұрын
ramb0nat0r choose two magnification too use 1 low 1 high you’ll never miss ive dropped a lot of deer and other animals at different ranges without ranging the I use the dope system
@vieuxacadian94553 жыл бұрын
Learn your setups mpbr and most situations You wont have to think about hold etc. No matter if you use mils or moa to calculate range You need an estimated size of the target . I have an old Mark 4 scope that is sfp and ranges at 20x . depends on the mfr of the scope .

Thanks for sharing this video seen here in the UK.Should i get First Focal Plane or second Focal plane if im only shooting Rabbits up to 100 yards, if i Zero a Scope at 25 Yards can i use the turret read outs say for 50 yards and 100 yards will it be spot on or do i have to zero the scope manually for these distances.
@silvermediastudio3 жыл бұрын
That's going to depend a lot on what cartridge you are shooting, your muzzle velocity, and the resultant trajectory. For rabbits to 100yards, I would recommend a high velocity varmint round (like .17 HMR or .22-250 Rem) that has an extremely flat trajectory for 125+ yards, a FFP ret, magnification range in the 4-16 or 5-25 range, objective lens in the 44-50mm range, and very importantly, a side parallax adjustment that goes down to 10 yards. This kind of setup will allow you to zero at 100 and not be required to dial the turrets to make good hits. I'd use a low-power for scanning the field, then throw it to higher power when you find a target, quickly take out the parallax, crosshair on, and send it.

You failed to mention that on very small targets the center dot on FFP can sometimes be too large. This can actually make precise long range shooting difficult in some situations........
@davep31633 жыл бұрын
I use the centre top edge of the dot for a precise POA. But a centre diamond would work even better.
