The case had nothing to do with you cracking the screen, considering its not the screen the case protects. It protected the part it was supposed to protect. You broke the screen yourself, probably by throwing it the way you did the airpods.

Despite having multiple USB C devices, I actually only have one USB C charger which came with my newest phone. I have multiple high speed chargers, multi device chargers, and power banks. They all only have USB A ports. Now that my newest phone can charge at 30 watts, I may start investing in USB chargers but otherwise A to C works well.
