The lag of an app must not be a bad thing IMO: if someday the manufacturer doesn't support the app anymore or is even bankrupt, you may run into problems. Just an easy bike with all the necessary core features

1100euro it's ok price for the spec but currently sold out on their website. No front suspension is probably the main drawback for me but if it was included the price would be even higher. Good stuff otherwise

Hello mate, I just received mine earlier today (bought it mostly based on your review, so thanks!). I'm having a bit of trouble with it though. The max speed is set to 22km/h, and I can't get the throttle to work past the 5km/h mark. I've tried the "hold the brake and throttle for 10 seconds" method, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Any idea how to fix that and set the speed to 25km/h with a working throttle? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Hello Michael! Great review, as always! Because you tested multiple e bikes I believe you have more knowledge than me when it comes to buying a new e bike. I have a Pvy Z20 Plus but I am planning to change it just because it’s on the heavier side , otherwise it’s a great bike. I was looking into Pvy LIBON, Ado Air 20 and ENGWE P20. In my opinion PVY are great when it comes to e bikes so the winner would be LIBON, but I am so scared about that motor :). That is my only thing that is keeping me away from purchasing it. On their website it says that they are out of stock until early August. I was thinking maybe to wait until they are available and hopefully the motor issue is being fixed but also the price , right now, for the LIBON is amazing compared to the full price of €2400. A very long message but I was wondering what would you do if you were in my situation? And which bike you think is better? Thanks and have a wonderful day!
@TechMishka6 ай бұрын
The Libon will never ever cost 2400. It.is ridiculous that they even mention it. In the end - it is an entry level Chinese foldable ebike. It is good, but it is a gamble with the motor. Hopefully they fixed the issue for good. I feel that at the moment Ado are far ahead in terms of design and support. Shorter range of the bike though. If I had to buy a bike myself - I'll make sure to have one via Amazon or at least pay with Paypal, so that I have some level of protection at least.

is there a speed unlock for the EU version for offroading?

I want to switch from the libon ce I have to the p20. already have the engwe m20 and I did 6.000km in 3 months with it without any issues. I insured my libon and waiting patiently for someone to steal it so I can afford a p20 😅

I am not sure if you covered this, so might as well ask here 🙂 With no gear shifter, do I then have to do a spinning class to maintain 25km/h with low or no assistance or is there some form of internal gearing? I am strongly considering buying this bike, but faster pedaling, would mean I would have to change the whole way I bike and that might not be feasible. But other than that, very nice review 🙂
@TechMishka5 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for the question - an excellent one. You can ride the bike as a conventional bike and the motor has almost no resistance. Up to 25km/h you may get support from the pedal assistance. Once you go beyond 25im/h, you are on your own.
@mikesch43425 ай бұрын
@@TechMishka: I believe that the main question is what cadence you need to keep up with in order to maintain 25 kph. Up to 80/min would be acceptable, if you have to spin 90 rpm to maintain a speed of 25 kph that would be unacceptable. Do you perhaps have a reference figure available? Thanks in advance.

@@andersoberg3175 You can activate the throttle with max speed (20mph) easily, just go into the settings menu, only press and hold the ^ button for 15 seconds, let go then press and hold the SET button for a few seconds until it goes back to the home screen. Test the throttle, it should now be unlocked and you can ride around in full electric mode with just the throttle. My written review of this will be up soon on Neowin and it's really rather amusingly powerful riding around with just the throttle. Battery consumption is 1bar every 10 miles or so, so 50 miles on a full charge should not be an issue. In unlocked throttle mode, the drive mode 1,2,3 doesn't matter, the mode only affects pedal assistance, throttle is always "analogue" in that sense.

@@TechMishka once you buy a bike from them I’m based in the UK. You can’t contrary to UK law ,send back items with a certain period of time. No UK warranty or anything like it applies to this company you’re buying from a warehouse they ship you out whatever they have. It could have faults, et cetera, they really don’t care once you paid you’ve paid. That’s it. Take your chances.

@@TechMishka I wish we had the bike options they do in America. Yes they’re built in Chinese factories but to higher standard and the company has to uphold warranties some of the bikes they just look like ordinary hybrid bikes that don’t scream.e bike , 4 inch tyres massively overbuilt frame too much weight. I’ve emailed some of the American companies and they said you have too many restrictions in the UK and EU for us to even consider selling us their bikes we’re relegated to buying from China. these bikes are bigger and heavier than they do look like in the videos to ratio isn’t so good they do make some decent bikes to prize points. They basically made from all the same parts but yeah a lot of 4 inch wide tires over built frames and even their 26 iwheels with massive tires, you’d have to be looking at as a step through because if you’ve got a top bar you’re gonna be wanting to be about 6 foot six bit to ride the things it’s a bit ridiculous more of velotrics, e-bikes power to weight ratio some of 36 V but look more like hybrids not massive bikes I think we’ve passed that point and they can get up to speed more rapidly than the big stocky bikes and they look like ordinary bikes so in the UK for me at least Eva getting a very heavy 4 inch tire width only heavy E bike or you can go for one of their very slender city bikes which has absolutely no range and not much power not a lot of choice but if anything does go wrong, you’re on your own, apologies for any spelling mistakes voice to text
