If Jeep would build the Ext Cab (like the 2005 prototype) they'd be awesome. Not everyone wants or needs a double cab. A little more bed, and a little less cab would be ideal. They would have the market sealed up. Just hope they keep the 6spd manual.

I have a 21 Mojave and I love it. It tows okay for common missions (toys and motorcycles) and goes anywhere. I would be excitant to get a turbo when even Toyota's "all-mighty" Tacoma's 4 turbo is struggling in the reliability department.

The current gladiator has the highest towing capacity in its class. If you want to tow more than 6500 in a midsize then I suggest you look at something like the RAM2500 (or even the 1500) 2: I doubt the jeep off-road community is dying to get the blue tow hooks on the front bumper of the gladiator. Electrification has its place for ppl movers, minivans and such but I am afraid off-roading isn’t one of them. My 2022 is an “underpowered” 3.6 and it does great with the 4:10 all though as soon as I go 37’s I’ll have it re-geared* to 4:88 maybe even 5:13’s. Love my current setup but if I could redo it again, I’d probably purchase the diesel platform.

@AnameSomeonesDadSurname I agree. But like I stated, I highly doubt ppl buy the gladiator for towing. All tho a few guys in the jeep community do tow their “off road” campers on the trails. I own a 2021 Powerwagon (L2 package) and I use that if I need to tow anything.

It may have the highest tow rating in its class. It has one of lowest output engines

@@ericfaley9019 define “lowers output”. The 3.6L has a flat torque curve from 2000 all the way to 6000 rpm. Horsepower does not matter here since bc this is a truck. This engine is mated to best in class ZF 8 speed that is properly geared and with this setup, it will run circles around the taco or any of that Nissan-barely-in-business joke. Btw, the Tacoma’s Atkinson cycle is a joke especially on a truck. Torque between 6000-and-6001, otherwise it’s like in a bad dream, when trying to run from a charging bull; full throttle, no action but a lot of buzzzz.

Jeep has NOT mentioned ANY plans to put the Hurricane engines in the Gladiator yet- this is "hopeful" at best

Adding the 3.0 hurricane is a huge task, what has impeded the Gladiator for towing is not HP/Torque but cooling. That is one reason the 2024 got a new grill to increase air flow. I highly doubt the 25 will get the 3.0. I think it will require a major full refresh for a new power plant to be added.

I would not mind having a 4xe Gladiator or a 3.0 Hurricane version. Having owned both versions of the 4xe in the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, it does need some refinement of when the turbo engine kicks in. I have also owned the V6 Pentastar Wrangler Rubicon and Gladiator Rubicon and more power is needed with those. My current Jeep is a 392 Wrangler and if either the 4xe or 3.0 Hurricane is as smooth as the Hemi, they would make great Jeeps. I would be interested in them and also the new Ramcharger as the next vehicle purchase. The prices of new vehicles are ridiculous and I would wait for a used one. ☹

It's not really a hybrid, it's PHEV, it need to be charged and a real hybrid don't what is more economic and makes more sense. But it's not cheap.

If you want a Jeep then buy a JL otherwise the "ballyhoo" in this commercial is nothing but hype. If you want a gasoline truck then buy a Ford F150 or a Chevrolet Silverado. The Gladiator was never a competitor to those vehicles and to now try to turn it into a "same as" and push a hybrid version with all of the problems that Ford and Chevrolet have had with EV vehicles that were never really meant to be anything more than a way to separate taxpayer dollars into the hands of "green energy" is an exercise in failure again. I have a 2022 Gladiator Eco-Diesel on 4.5" lift with 37" tires and have not experienced any problem because it is a Jeep and that is what I expected first and foremost. it is not a look-a-like Ford F150 or Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 and this "redesign" is not going to bring Ford and Chevrolet buyers to a Gladiator.

Not true. I have owned both Wrangler Sahara and Grand Cherokee with the hybrid powerplant. I had a Gladiator Rubicon too and a Wrangler Rubicon with the Pentastar engines. The 4xe powerplant would be a great addition for the Gladiator. It seriously needs more power and the hybrid powerplant does both, provide more power and better fuel economy. I went from 2 hybrid Jeeps to a 392 Wrangler. It IS a gas hog but provides a smoother power curve than the hybrids and while it is supposed to be quicker, I found the hybrid powerplants are more than capable of producing a fast 0-60 run. The power is not smooth with the hybrid. I would not mind getting the 4xe Gladiator or the new Ramcharger as the next vehicle. IF Jeep would put the 392 in the Gladiator, hell yes. When they will put the 3.0 Hurricane it them, that would be pretty nice too.

@@chuckw6099 America's Most Wanted 4x4 company does 392 conversions for the jeep gladiator. You can buy it brand new from them with the conversion done when you pick it up. They do financing as well. Whatever you can dream up for your gladiator, they can build it. I think the company is in Michigan.
