I have question. In oerder to set up Starling first time do I need access to internet? On video Isee you are connecting to STINKY netrowk. I bought starlink with idea to set it up in a place where my home is there is no connection to anything at all, mobile, LTE, any kind of connection does not work.. thanks

you should set up in a place you have connection. that’s only for the initial set up. later you don’t need

Hmmm, failed to mention an ethernet connection that is available and what about moving it to another location. It says setting up the router but that was like half of a second of this video. How does this router get TV signals to your various TVs and PCs? Should I buy/run the ethernet option to my main computer setup?

Hi, there! I have question? I’m from Myanmar (Southeast Asia) but live in America now. Now, my country is happening civil war and a military junta cut off the internet from some regions including my hometown. And I want to use this Starlink internet for my people to connect each other and for the news , educational and healthcare. Any advice? And my question is if I could buy this set up there in (my country’s hometown)and can I pay from here in USA?

you can buy and send there from anywhere with your credit card. register and setup with Malaysia or philippines's dummy address for global roam, not with residential.

you need a smart phone to set it up but its a wifi router which means - your windows desktop can connect to it also

Hello and many thanks for your help and sharing. The starlink package arrived today. I understand it must be placed on the roof and it works on wifi. I registered with the PC, in another house, because where I will put starlink is in another address, and there, you can only communicate with smoke signals. I installed the app on Android on my smartphone, and registered my account login name and password. It's not clear to me: when I connect the power, me with my devices, laptop, 3 smartphones, etc etc, how do I find the starlink wifi connection, what should I enter if it asks me for ID and password, it's not clear to me and I can't find it anywhere. Antonio, in my understanding: you should do the same as you did first time. Then remove the old data that you had at the last place.

the good thing is that after the initial set up , once you travel and need to set up somewhere else - all you need to do is plug it in and open the app, thats all

Nothing is easier than starlink setup. If you can get 5G you don't need starlink, but with starlink you can get internet anywhere which is the point.

Sick of the same obvious 💩. Nobody shows the f… router options? I suppose it will be a surprise as nobody tells what f… options it has. Can you disable dhcp? Can ypu disable wfi? Change lan network? What firewall options?

It seems you are frustrated since you are searching for the wrong video , this is a setup video. What you are looking for is more specific - so I would search for : "Starlink Router Explained" , or "Starlink router firewall", maybe a router review

@@TechandDesign Thank you. Really appreciated. Not necessary though. Seems the lack of information (I did a more calmly and thorough search) just reflects the lack of options, hence the insistence on bypassing the original starlink router. So I decided to completely omit once installed, and ordered a dishy to poe adapter (for the price not worth ruining the ethernet adapter and the crimping work).
