Openness? Lots of conservatives complain about being censored on Bluesky until they finally get kicked off. With no experience of my own it just sounds like another platform that only wants one narrative and embraces censorship.

Bluesky is the same exact thing, except for the left. I went to the site and literally any topic or feed I searched was leftist propaganda. It's basically the Reddit version of Twitter

This is so refreshing, I do think Jay and her team are really onto something. Platforms are just conduits; the true value of social is in the users, creators and communities. Once you set that free, it won't go back in a box. I especially like her comment about aligning their motivations with the user. And there's no reason IMO that cannot benefit shareholders at the same time.

My favorite thing about Bluesky is how easy it is to remove things from my feed and adjust the algorithm to only show me things Im interested in. Its a place I go to avoid the drama if American politics, which is infuriating to be bombarded with when youre not American.

The customizability of the feed and moderation are definitely next level with Bluesky, give out programmer vibes for sure. I hope the general population finds the protocol useful so those that like to tinker can take advantage of these tools. I have no idea how the protocol can be monetized in the future though. There’s a reason IMAP, POP3, DNS are not owned by a corporation

Her and the COO are just such great representatives for 💙Sky! ..will also help to attract more women to the network. With that constellation I wouldn't be surprised if they would grow to one of the biggest networks. .. while X is full of entitled drinking age boys never growing mature.

Objective information is the antidote to mind control. Especially when the original Twitter was in the political ideological censorship game...which Blue Sky will definitely be. Infact, I'll be observing to see if/ when it devolves into an extension of the woke Democrat media machine.

@maximumvelocity6542 Well, I wrote you a reply but it seems this 🌭 fest KZbin didn't like it. ..anyways.. 🦋 is (at this moment*) growing by 2 million users per week. ..and that's only going to accelerate the more people know about it. X won't even die a slow death. Pretty soon all the content creators that made X/TWATter popular in the first place (journalists/legacy media, politicians, institutions such as PDs, FDs, different local, state and national administrations) will have accounts there and be at least as active at 🦋, leading to even more users following.
