"MY BUYER BEWARE" I currently cannot support corsair due to my personal experience with them in the past 2 years (2019 - 2020). Corsair has been one of my favorite peripherals for years now. I used the original M65 and k70 (red) for years with a lot of abuse, they showed their true worth. Until I changed to more recent iterations of these two. From owning and doing the research corsair mice have had some issues with quality control. The more recent mice I have had from the m65 and m55 they both have has a consistent double click issue which stems from bad connectors. I have even RMA'd them. The RMA only repaired the issue for 2 to 3 months just for it to come back. This is just my "BUYER BEWARE". If you don't want take my personal experience from using these peripherals, just search it up. There are various different articles, forums (Even the corsair forum is filled with em), and videos that explain the same issue.

Great overall review here, hit on all the key points and featured some cool mice. I'm using a Logitech G403 right now, but really enjoy both Logitech and Corsair stuff, I'm guessing at least half the stuff in my gaming PC and peripherals are Corsair, plus I have two Void Surround Sound headsets, one that I can actually use for voice overs without losing a lot of audio quality. I have both the Logitech GPro(on normal PC) and the Rapidfire K70 and both are pretty comparable, but I think for the money Corsair makes some of the best gaming products and they are a lot better than some higher priced brands. Before switching to the G403(something simpler that fits my hand almost perfectly) I used the Corsair M65 and really loved it for Overwatch and other FPS games. Their software makes it a super flexible mouse and I still have it as a back up in case I wear out my G403. I've seen a few of these at our local Fry's and they have them out to test, if I was going to get one it would probably be the Glaive because it fits my hand the best. You could do an ASMR video with all the mouse clicks at the end of each bit, lol.

Not sure how relevant this will be, but I do want to make a comment on the Nightsword. Many sources and reviews say that the mouse is only really comfortable for large hand users. But like what was said here, the personal preference plays a huge role here. I have slightly smaller to average sized hands and I personally have fallen in love with the feel out the mouse and it works fantastic as I climb through diamond on Apex Legends. Hope this helps anyone you has been considering this one!

I own the first gen M65 for the last 3 years, my first gaming mouse. Recently picked up a nightsword from amazon on sale. I feel a difference between the two. I game at low DPI so that didn't matter much, though having 3+sniper compared to 5+sniper, was different, maybe that much easier to go through the DPI profiles. Then again I only use 2 DPI settings, gaming and everything else. The way one cups the hand more and the other grippier. The M65 feels more grippier than the nightsword, I can lift my fingers and thumb off and move the mouse around with my palm alone. I can't say the same about the nightsword. I wonder if I need to soak some sweat into the palm area on the nightsword. lol As soon as I try moving the nightsword around, only palmed, it slides out of my palm. The other difference I noticed is that it is more narrow feeling for the ring and pinky fingers. More clawed in for those two fingers compared to my M65. The M65 seems more wider than the nightsword. After a few hours or an intense FPS match, my ring and pinky fingers feel sore and some pain. Maybe my hands are still adjusting to the nightsword. My palm on the nightsword also feels weird. Feels like the left palm is making contact, some on the right side and the center part of my palm is floating. M65 my palm is planted evenly. I like the extra 2 index finger buttons, though have not programed them yet for gaming, (will soon). It makes video editing that much faster compared to combo keying keys. The three thumb keys seem to be harder to press compared to my M65, then again could just be new. I have to put more pressure from the thumb to click one of the three thumb keys. The nightsword has a more noticeable left and right click to my M65, feels like it has a more less of a travel for the left or right click to register. Which helps reduce time for FPS, maybe it is the way my hand conforms to the nightsword? Feels like I can ADS and fire a round off faster. Not sure to return it just yet, I have about another 2-3 weeks before the return window is closed. I want to love the Nightsword for the quick feeling left/right buttons and the additional 2 index buttons but after intense games or prolonged use, hurts my ring and pinky while needing to add more force to keep the mouse in hand compared to my M65. This is completely my opinion and thoughts, anyone else feel that way about the nightsword? I was thinking of the Dark core but can not find the version with the three thumb buttons at my local micro or amazon. I like that you can swap a pinky plate area like the thumb side of the nightsword.

I'm back to gaming since march, like 2-3hrs a day, and I do think the M55 Pro, because of the weight, is a good choice, for people who dont' want to spend 70-130$ on a mouse. Also: The M65's right click ..how should i say this.. "skips" or "times out" some times. And the back thumb button of the Ironclaw deteriorated Never had this problem with my older mice. My Razer Naga Hex lasted for a few yeas before one of the clicks started to deteriorate. And my two Logitechs, one i dont remember the model, one is a G9x still works perfectly! and let me tell you back then i treated my peripherals very harshly. Same for anything Logitech really.

My thoughts and responses: 1:20 He does reply frequently to the comments, which is nice :) I'd like you to cover Steelseries as they are pretty popular as well as Razer mice which is top of the line as well. I currently use a Razer Basilisk. I have a big hand and it fits my hand almost perfectly. I'd say the fit for your hand and the way you grip the mouse (claw/palm/ finger grips) is the most important to which mouse works best for you. RBG is a nice feature but shouldn't be the main thing. My next mouse is gonna be wireless. My problem with wireless is that there's always gonna be input lag so until I find a viable wireless option, I'll stick with my current Razer Basilisk. In terms of Corsair, I have a good feeling about them as a brand, whether it's Keyboards, Mice, or Headsets they have quality products, and where you end up is based on your preferences more than anything. From this video, I'm definitely going to look into more reviews on Ironclaw RGB wireless and see what the price point is over here. Finally, I'm sorry I missed this video when it was released in February. As always, with Tech Gear Talk videos you can always expect great production quality, in-depth knowledge of the product on review, and that gives you a nuanced view of the products. Big thumbs up for this one!

I really like the shape, but the closet one corsair makes in the dark core, which has a bit of a strange side button arrangement. How do they compare? Can you use the side buttons together? It looks like a rocker rather than separate buttons for the forward and back. I like to be able to hold one button down for a modal option, then still be able to click the other button for other controls. How do the nightsword and Dark core compare to the G602? To each other?

Thank you for the excellent video. I have to replace my mouse and will consider these highly. My son who makes video games for a living (making his own & looking for industry job as well, 1 more month of school) recommended a corsair kb & mouse. He needs a quiet kb & loves his K55 just needs more quiet mechanical switches. If you have not done a video on quiet gaming kb, can you? Thank you & I'll heD over to your playlist.

One of the things I like to do when researching any hardware is to check the 1-star reviews. Sure, a lot of them are due to manufacturing deficiencies & with a certain percentage (say, .2%) you can just throw those out. However, when I start to see a trend or commonality on many of the reviews, that gets my attention. In particular, I was very interested in the Ironclaw you reviewed here. What I found on the 1-star reviews was a common theme: the mouse wheel seems to be defective after only a few months of use, even as little as 1. Could you provide any personal insight into perceived quality after extended use? After all, I don't mind spending 100 to even 150 dollars (US) for a good gaming mouse if its awesome right out of the bag. However, it needs to continue to be that way for years to justify the price.

Hi Tyler - appreciate you taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. I think you bring up a valid concern regarding cost and durability. I’m at a little bit of a disadvantage because I test/use so many mice. And although I definitely put them through their paces, I can exclusively use any single one of them for over a year. If you feel like a product will fail and you’re not comfortable with the warranty, I would look elsewhere. I can only tell you mine has been working well. Hope this helps.

I really wanted to like the nightwsword, but I ended up going back to the g502. Nightsword just feels too wide and none of the buttons feel reachable. They're also mushy.

Im looking for a wired mouse for gaming that is relatively affordable. I don't really care about RGB but I don't hate it if it's not expensive and I would prefer it to be corsair but not set on that. Any suggestions?

I play lots of Minecraft pvp games. My mouse is a tecknet mouse and is getting really dirty. I am looking for a good mouse to replace it with. Due to the lock down I can’t really go to stores and test them. My cousin has a gaming pc and uses Corsair and I wanted to see what they have to offer. I came here to see if u have any suggestions for me. I am trying to save money right now for new gaming equipment.

Although I didn’t get mouses from this video. It helped me discover what mouse I am comfortable with. I like mouses with large buttons such as the deathadder from razer. I had gotten a pictek mouse that was 20 bucks which looked similar to the deathadder. The mouse was false advertised since the grips were just plastic. I plan to return it and because of this I figured out I am mostly a palm gripper and am comfortable with around 5 inch long mouses. So now I plan to save up my allowances for a glorious model o (regular) matte.

I have a NightSword, and it is very unconfortable for my ring finger (right hand use). The finger touchs the plastic part, and after an hour of work i feel a little pain in the middle of the finger (bone).

Had the ironclaw for a while and my only gripe is that the rubber textured surfaces on both sides are incredibly hard to clean. Although comfortable, any extended use will cause dirt, grease and gunk from your hand to get stuck in there. Being rubber is hard enough to clean already and the added large amounts of criss cross with deep crevasses made cleaning a nightmare. I had to resort to using a wet tissue on the tip of a toothpick and going along the crevasses to lift up the gunk.

@@TechGearTalk ironically i was cleaning the mouse and the mouse wheel stopped working, I don't know what happened I was very gentle. Took it back to the shops and since I just bought it 3 months ago they let me pick a new one immediately. Due to the pandemic there was limited variety to choose from and I ended up picking the dark core rgb pro.

I have an ironclaw wireless too and also have this problem. Used as my daily for more than 2 years the texture started to bubble off, became sticky and has worn completely down on the thumbrest (exposing the bare plastic underneath). It felt great when it was new but the durability of the coating is a problem it should last longer than 2 years. Still functions well but now I'm looking for a new mouse because of this coating they use. If they made an ironclaw style mouse with the matte plastic buttons like the Dark core/ sabre that would be perfect.

Does Corsair allow you to map any of the buttons to middle click? For software I use, it’s extremely convenient to not have to click down on the mouse wheel with my middle finger and use a side button with my thumb instead.

I have £80 to spend on a new mouse. Considering the m65 elite. I have small /medium hands and play mostly shooters. I have a Razer viper and mamba but my new pc will not use synapse for some reason. I'm torn between the m65 elite or ironclaw wireless. Any advice?
@TechGearTalk4 жыл бұрын
First, bummer about synapse not working and having to re-buy gear. I think both mice will work great but quick question - is there any chance you can get to a store an hold both - or is that out of the question with today's conditions? Do you need all the buttons on the Ironclaw? Over here, the M65 Elite is less than half the price of the Ironclaw RGB also. I hope that helps. Welcome to the channel!

Overall feel of the Ironclaw RGB wireless mouse is good. It would be a great mouse if there wouldn’t be some stupidities. First of all ICU software takes 1GB of disk space which is just ridiculus. It happens many times that mouse is not recognized by the system so you have to take reciever out of USB port in plug it back in. Also, I get the issue of ICU not loading profile at system startup. And I could live with that. But the biggest issue I have is the back button. The darn thing always takes you 2 steps back and not one. I tried manually mapping the function and it worked. For 1 hour. Searching the web many users experience the same issue. So the main funcion becomes unusable. The friggin’ mouse puts fear into you so when using different mouse you either not use the back button or you are afraid of. I gave Corsair a chance but was dissapointed.

y're unlucky, i have one that i absolutely love (specially the battery life). Only issue, and it's a really stupid one, is that the USB cable from corsair doesnt work at all. However it was ok, because any other usb cable i used, worked. So problem solved

I use a Razer Deathadder and I need a new mouse. Literally everything else in my entire build apart from my ssd and headset is from Corsair, so I wanna go with a Corsair mouse and control everything through iCUE. Which Corsair mouse is closer to Deathadder's ergonomics? I'm currently looking at the Ironclaw and the Glaive, but I can't really go anywhere to test them and get a feel of them. Can anyone help?
@TechGearTalk4 жыл бұрын
Hi, the M55 is pretty similar in terms of design and ergonomics (if your goal is truly to find something similar). If you have larger hands, the Ironclaw is a great option and if not, the Glaive is super comfortable with the interchangeable thumb grips and the elongated design. Hope that helps.
