Simple water level indicator

Hello friends, today in this video i have shown how to make a simple water level indicator.
Parts list:-
4 × 220 ohm resistor
4 × BC547 transistor
9V battery
3 × green Led (5mm)
1 × red led (5mm)

Hi, when i connect the wire to the transistor, it starts blinking., Even when i touch the transistor with my fingers then also it starts blinking

@@nikhilkumar-fb9fz it is because, transmitter will increase a 1A current to 10A current, this thing will happen, so don't worry, this is known as touch sensor circuit , this touch sensor is also used to test a circuit before running it

I personally would go for an optical or dedicated sensor if I want it to last for long time. This type it will be soon, worn out due to oxidation. But compliments for your work! The principle, even if there is no histerezis, it's simple and very nice! Thank you!

What if the dipped wires are platinum? He uses 9v. What about using a voltage below the electroplating level of the element in the wires and below the electrolysis level of water and use an op amp. IE how can this be added to a food safe usage?

I love it! Great to measure my water tank with purified water. I'm a professional detailer and sometimes it's hard to find exactly how many gallons of water are at the end of the tank. I'm gonna build on one little box to install this indicator water level and ones it's finished attach the box on one side of the water tank. I hope works great.

It won't work with a gas tank. Gas is non-conductive.

Buen proyecto, pienso que deberían ser dos led rojos, uno de primero para indicar que hay poca agua y otro de último para indicar que el tanque está full, digo yo. Good project, I think it should be two red led, one of first to indicate that there is little water and another last to indicate that the tank is full, I say.

Ciao, grazie. Credo possa essere utile, abbinarlo ad un pompa di acqua. Ex: quando l'acqua ha riempito (full) il contenitore di acqua, posto ad un certa altezza, introdurre un rele' al circuito rosso (led Red), per fermare, il consenso elettrico alla pompa. E un'altro relè, al circuito "minimo", per dare il consenso elettrico alla pompa. Un cordiale saluto, Fausto (Roma, Italia).

As something cool to make, great!! But I think I will stick with my own invention. I need a hand a hose and a tap. 1)attach hose to outlet of tank 2)turn on tap 3) use hand to lift hose up the side of the tank When water stops coming out, then I know where the water level is

Cool idea! I'll stick to mine as well. A transparent water pipe that attached to the bottom of the tank, no hand need.
