@@oberender64 this is stock buddy if you want base boosted you have to adjust in app aswell as eq to get the sound you want, personalize it for yourself plus it destroys in battery life and are comfy enough, although i be it i have heard good things about airpods max comfort and sound they are quite heavy

It is far better than sony ..but the app is buggy tho so is the touch controls.cant turn off anc you adjust between transparency and anc and balance it in middle.. features like sound personalisation doesn’t work for me

Did you go to Accessibility/Audio & Visual and turn Headphones Accommodations to Balanced Tone/Moderate. If you not using an Apple product, I wouldn’t recommend you use AirPods Max. Also Spotify has the worst sound on the Max, Apple Music is the best and KZbin Music is a very good alternative.

The more distorted the sound sounds on your phone speakers the better. It means the headphones have a much wider range of audio frequencies. If it sounds clear on your phone then the headphone audio is compressed

@@milli1511 I would say that's mostly a sound preference thing - I've had S3 for short time and wasn't impressed(considering the price). What was disappointing the most, was a lack of fast and deep sub bass extension known from some planar drivers. Momentum 4 has its flaws, but gonna play most genres at least correctly and with nice thump if needed.

Honestly, all 4 of these are bangers. The sennheisers were the most neutral to my ears, not too punchy or too high, perfect dynamics. The xm5s had more emphasis on the mid-highs and laid back bass, probably best all rounder for music. The airpods max are just all sparkle with the highs and lows being tuned up without stepping on the midrange. Honestly, the Spirit S3s surprised the hell out of me. They went with a more dynamic range with emphasis on the mids and a slight kick in the bass and high frequencies but focused on the mids. Perfect for edm and bouncy type of beats. Really, you cant go wrong with either 4. You just have to know what you like and what headphones give you the sound signature you want for your music.

I hate to say it but I genuinely do prefer the sound of the AirPods Max. It’s not to the point where it blows the other ones out of the water, but it has a sound profile that sounds more balanced than the other ones. Of course, that could also just be because of the specific headphones I have on right now. The momentum 4s specifically though seem to have rather overbearing bass. Some people may find that nice, but it sounds a bit muddy and claustrophobic almost in my opinion. Granted, I have always been more into Rock and Heavy Metal so it could just be a preference thing. The XM5s sound pretty good too, although I prefer the Max just a little bit more.

Why hate to say it? They’re just better. We all have different ears but to me they sounded the most clear and fluent. Not only that but I find them a lot more comfortable for long term listening. If I had a second choice it’d probably be the XM5 pair though.

I have autism and am sensitive to bad eq (mainly high ends). The airpods max were a fucking godsend, I can turn it up really loud and they still sound crystal clear with no pain. They blow every other high end anc headphones I've ever owned out of the water in terms of sound quality *in noisy situations.* Yeah, the others sound awesome, but as the price speaks, the AirPods Max are in a completely different league.

Sony: the sound is more closed, more v-shaped, bass is amazing. Sennheiser: the most neutral, all frequecies well represented, and even though the highs are not so well refined they're present. Unfortunately the volume was lower than the others, but higher volumes does not equate better quality. Airpods: It's almost as neutral as the Sennheiser's, but the highs are a little too bright and the mids a little shouty/nasal sounding. Stax/Edifier: they sounded almost the same as the Airpods to me, just a little less shouty/nasal. All four are great.

I think the frequency graphic on the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is v-shaped. If you want natural sounds, this is bad. If you like planar magnetics, you should prefer the Stax Spirit S3. If you like dynamic magnetics, you should prefer the Airpods Max.

Okay the bass is much refined in M4s than that of XM5 also the mids and highs are balanced with not to much treble. Max is too sharp on the mids and highs and looses a lot of lows. Edifire on the other hand is balanced which an audiophile would love but lacks character. for an 'average joe' M4 would be the best choice. Excellent bass, Refined mids and soft highs. Btw i have xm5 and i would say M4 is better cause the excess bass kills all lows, feel like this headphone tranforms every song to a disco music.😂 I have tried the eq settings but still it lacks refinement. PS: my friend owns a headphone from anker that sounds phenomenal.👍

this test is not accurate. like at all. the reason why there are headphone measurement rigs that cost absurd amounts of money (i'm talking about 50k+ USD) is that they need to simulate a LOT of things and even they can't do that perfectly. This is just a very, very rough estimate of what the differences are among these headphones, it is not a test of sound quality.

XM5's were a little too dark for me and sounded like the sound was in the back (if that makes sense), the Momentum 4's sounded like everything was up front and clear, while the bass was just clean sounding, the Airpods Max sounded a little tinny to me, and the stax sounded ok, but not for that price.

This type of video really cannot replace hearing the headphones in person. About all you get is the (hopefully) default EQ, which can be adjusted. It doesn’t speak to the actual sound quality at all because in almost no case is a consumer going from a flat recording to a flat listen.

Airpods max sound very tasteful to me, at least in this song. Not a fan of Senheissers overemphasis on subbass. You can actually hear the cymbals being drowned out by the subbass. Airpods max sound much more balanced and feel like everyone in the song gets a chance to be heard. I like bass as the next guy but there is more to a song than just that. Just like any meal, it's good to have a balance of all flavours. Also just like the XM4, the default tuning is so narrow and muffled. But if my XM4 are any indication, Sony has an excellent EQ in their app that allows you to open up the sound and reduce that muffled over the top bass.

Except showing a "sound quality demo" doesn't even matter, because it will sound nothing alike hearing it in real life, audio can be coloured by a variety of factors, your headphones, youtube compression, source gear, and also the fact that your measurement rig isnt even industry standard or accurate, saying $1000 binaural microphone doesnt mean anything at all. Relax. The whole point is to compare these side by side in the same setup including whatever crappy headphone is used by us the viewers. Not to demo how they sound exactly, but only relative to each other. Maybe the way he introduced the test is what’s problematic, I’m with you on that part.

It'll still give insight into its sound signature. I have bought headphones this way before and it is actually pretty accurate.

It's pretty accurate, I tested out the m5'a and they didn't have that much deep bass

They all sound great, they’re just all different in the sounds. Some have more treble and others more bass.

momentum 4s take absolutely the win, not a surprise that Sennheiser makes good quality stuff, the headphones come with a base equalization that is really good, mids don't disturb the sound, highs are crisp and basses punch, really good job. there's no doubt these ones are the best pick out of these 4 even for their price

if the sennheiser had the immersive audio that the bose ultras have itd be an easy choice but damn do i love the immersion

First time i hear those on phone and i thought sony best but after that i listen it on my airpods i found that Sennheiser is the bestt best sound i will buy Sennheiser momentum 4 Insallah

i just ordered a momentum 4, arriving in maybe a week. I have extremely high hopes as im more bass heavier in my music preferences
