My wife said if she posts a comment that gets deleted later as a reply randomly to some other comment, it does not get deleted. I cannot confirm if this works. I am SO sick of this platform deleting my comments. I will write a thoughtful, informative two paragraph, and hit comment. I have learned to copy the comment and paste it into notepad to save locally. I refresh the vid my comment is on, and poof it is gone. I am really angry when I have not saved it, but mostly it does not matter because trying to post multiple time over multiple days, changing the wording, or even simplifying it to two words, it STILL get deleted. HUGE shadow censorship. OK, I am copying and pasting this comment to see if it gets deleted; if it does, I will just try again with comment deleted.

KZbin is looking for a reason to ban people who have expressed a religious or political comment that the owners don't approve of. But because having such an opinion isn't a valid reason to delete your account, it is pretending you have posted a comment that breaches their privacy policy. They're taking any comment you've posted, regardless of how innocent that comment was, shadowbanning it, then they can fake that it was a really bad comment so they can really delete the comment and delete you entirely.

A friend of mine gave me food for thought when he was explaining it in his usual way - by blaming aliens (bear with me here, it'll make sense). He has this thing; literally just for a laugh he'll find find way to blame aliens for anything. Sometimes it's just silly, others it's more elaborate - but always hilarious. As I say; he's not serious (one of his best was why ostriches don't fly). Anyway, he explained "hate speech" as something like this: the aliens are in control of all social media, but they're not too hot on language. They see "hate speech" as the two separate words, and not as a phrase. So, as we know hate speech as a phrase, the aliens (who control KZbin) see it as hate, speech. So because they think that us humans hate speech, they restrict speech in general. It's actually funnier when you're drunk/stoned.

I get notification for comments I replied on but when I go back my reply isn't posted. It's odd to me that YT recognized that I did reply to a comment but doesn't show my reply. And often when I comment I will see there are zero like so I switch profiles and check and although it's still in the original profile, it doesn't show up when I look for it in my other one so no one is seeing my comment. I have just pretty much thrown my hands up in the air. What else can be done? My most recent comment, I re-edited it a few times to add/change stuff, but even before that I could not see it when logged out (Whenever this happens to any of my comments, even all the said comments that this happened to being looked at from one of my parents laptops when I visit them, just, not showing up) it is the same garbage... Said comment, I deleted and reposted plenty of times as I tried changing certain symbols or just anything that might have otherwise set off a shadowban, but nothing changed (Haven't check this one it at my parents place, but why bother... It is the same with every comment that does not show). It should be illegal to do this stuff without notifying users and giving them all the reasons for it and what they can do to lift the ban instead of just leaving us in the dark. You have comments encouraging people to off themselves and that bully others, even with full on course words that are very popular and have been up for years, yet nothing is done with them... Hee is the thing (This comment is one of the exceptions to what I am about to say), over 90% of the comments that get banned are ones where i defend mens rights and stand up to bullying and try to help those being effected by it (Oh, and did I mention that almost all of those comments get full on deleted as well - Not even showing up in my comments history). This video needs more views. This has been an ongoing problem on KZbin for years, I think the first time I became aware of it was in 2016 or 2017. In my opinion it is fully intentional on KZbin's part because often the deleted comment will remain visible, at least for a period of time, to the person who posted it. KZbin used to be a vibrant community for me with lots of notifications from replies. These days it seems so much is shadow banned. Two ways to test if you are shadow banned is to comment, hit refresh, and see if the number of comments increased by one (this works poorly on a video with huge traffic and many comments), or you could make the comment, open up an incognito tab and see if your comments show up when pressing latest comments. The algorithms are insanely strict. I tested it out so many times.

It appears to me as though they have been posted and are still there, until someone else comments on the same section and I get notified. When I click on that notification, my comments are all gone except for the very first one I made.

I think they were doing that to give us a chance to copy, delete, then edit and repost them but it was on almost every video on every comment i replied to if it was to someone who already replies to a person's comment, i had no problems making my own comment or replying to someone's original comment and even less if there are no replies to it. I am SO sick of this platform deleting my comments. I will write a thoughtful, informative two paragraph, and hit comment. I have learned to copy the comment and paste it into notepad to save locally. I refresh the vid my comment is on, and poof it is gone. I am really angry when I have not saved it, but mostly it does not matter because trying to post multiple time over multiple days, changing the wording, or even simplifying it to two words, it STILL get deleted. Plus, I always strive to be polite, positive, respectful, and logical. If I am angry or don’t have anything good to say, or if what I say is not going to contribute any good to humanity, I refrain from commenting. Not for the algorithm, but because it’s how I was raised. Like the saying goes, ‘If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it,’ So I choose not to comment. I miss the era when all you had to worry about was getting banned from a channel because you were causing problems in the KZbin comments. Anything went. Swearing. Slang. Politics. Religion. Been experiencing this for a while, and as a KZbin premium member it’s infuriating. I just posted a lengthy, positive and loving comment on a cooking channel about my passion for Italian cooking as well as some tips I’ve learned from years of cooking. It was instantly removed. No profanity, nothing negative at all. This is getting absurd! I sent feedback directly to KZbin and unsurprisingly they beat around the bush and do nothing. Yup, I can relate. A couple of years ago, for several months, almost all of my comments were instantly being auto-deleted the moment I posted them (or at "best", they were being shadow-banned so that only I could see them). Fortunately, I learned about shadow-banning, and realized YT was doing it and stopped holding it against the channels. But that didn't make it feel like a complete waste of time to post comments anymore. 😒 Also, it's hard to not feel like my account is "tainted", like it's been flagged somewhere deep in the Algorithm's black-box, so that if I ever want to do YT, I'll have to use a fresh account since this one's "ruined". 🤦

I have two accounts on my phone, so now I always check if my comment is posted. Also you can quickly check if you are banned on the channel or not by simple one-word test comment and using different accounts. And yeah it seems like impossible to post most of long comments no matter how you change words, and finally you have to post it by parts or give up. Pure inhumanity.

The most annoying thing is it doesn't tell you anything, it just deletes comments randomly for no reason most of the time it happens to me im just saying regular words, it shows for like 10 to 20 seconds, and then disappears. Its ridiculous how much the censorship is out of control we literally have to talk like we're 3 years old or it flags and removes everything. If the comment gets deleted with no context behind it, it would be alot better to have a reason instead such as "offensive comment" or "spam comment" or something along those lines so we dont think its just being buggy again. Sadly, this is most likely another issue on the site that they wont ever bother to fix so all we can do is try our own workaround until we can comment normally
