I recently bought 2 of these with 4 7.5AH smart batteries each (came with 2ea batts, so got 4 extra 7.5s), the inverter and rapid charger. Just felt it was the right thing to have with all that is going on in the world right now. Also acquired my first companion tool, a pole saw with a basic 2.5AH battery and a half day of cutting did not reduce the batt below full. Saw cuts through palm tree fronds like butter. So far I really like these tools.

I have the smaller inverter for 1 ego battery. Have only had to use it once but was nice to have to charge phones.

Hi Ken welcome to the channel, yeah not only functional but cool tech as well, did you see the new 2 stage snow blower? I just got it and did a review.

@@TechMadeEzy I saw it on their page. Looks nuts. I have the trimmer, leaf blower and my favorite- the 14" chainsaw. The chainsaw is very good.

I can see this being a useful tool for camping and tailgating. Using it as a generator, not so much. Sure, he plugged a bunch of stuff in and got some decent runtime, but with no way to hook this up to your breaker box you're gonna have to run extension cords everywhere so I don't see this as a replacement for a generator at all. this is a 5 year old product so they should be coming out with an updated model soon, hopefully with pass through charging, type-C outlets, parallel ports, more battery slots, and a way to hook it up to your breaker box. If they're gonna advertise this product as something to rival a dedicated generator that will be what they need.

I ordered it already and it should be arriving soon. I do have some concern leaving it in the car or inside the camping tent. Will it overheat? Will it blow up on certain temperature? I hope you can answer it for me. Thanks. Good videos by the way.

Hi Christian good question, I don’t think it’s a good idea to have the unit expose to very high heat or very cold temperatures in general but give me some time and I will see if they mention a temp range or maybe I can find you the pdf manual to look through.

Will this run a mini split ac system that I have in a mobile work trailer?
@TechMadeEzy4 жыл бұрын
Rick as long as they are under the 2000 consistent watts I guess, I'm not the expert and don't want you to purchase something if we both aren't sure it will work. I would check how many amps each requires and how many watts they need to run. Also keep in mind you probably will need the 7.5ah batteries possibly even 4 if them. If I find out more I will let you know. Let me know what you find out also.

OK here is my question BEFORE I buy this unit with 7.5 x4 batteries......How long with this fully charged unit run a space heater in a power outage if the heater is a 1000W unit?

Hi Suzanne, I wish I had the answer but take a look at this and see if it gives you some ideas egopowerplus.com/nexus-power-station

@@TechMadeEzy Thank you for the link because I think it answered my question. If you stroll down on this link to examples where they are using 7.5 batteries x4 with a 1000w griddle it will only power it for 77 minutes. I have to ask then why anyone would buy a $1500+ power station to use in a power outage if you are looking for a temporary source for heat at night even in a small space and using a small space heater. I do not think this is the answer and only a generator could work in this application.....bummer

Do u think ego power station is the best power in the world?
@TechMadeEzy4 жыл бұрын
Hi BB wang, that’s a very wide statement, I haven’t tried every power station in the world but I do think the product will allow me to not use gas as much and I do like that I can bring it into my home and bring it with me on trips. What do you use?
@tylerthorne52294 жыл бұрын
This unit has so many great qualities! Aside from being able to use in so many environments, one of my favourite qualities is it produces pure sign wave power. Much easier on fine electronics like your TV for example. I’m sure gas inverted generators do as well but once again your not going to be wanting to run a gas generator indoors.

thanks Tyler, I’m learning new things every day with this inverter.
