Nicely packaged and thought out expansion system for the bluetti family. The only attraction for me is the flexibility with weight. I can have lighter units and still have greater capacity. You have a wonderful delivery and speaking voice. Good review.
@jaycarneygiants Жыл бұрын
It's technically compatible with any portable power pack. You can simply charge any portable power pack from the B80's 12 volt port, You just need the cigarette plug adapter to whatever the input is on your portable power pack (XT60, Anderson XT90 etc).

Not sure about this. For the same money you can buy another AC180 with more WH and power.

Just a question. If you hook the b80 to the ac180 you lose the ability to charge with 500 watts of solar, since the b80 only has 200 watts max. Is that correct?

@ysBooksTheAuthor i’m not familiar at this time with the AC180 but you can simply charge them separately via solar if you want

It's a ridiculous idea. It's $700. At that price you can buy a 1200 watts 100Ah for $300

@philwilliams239 ай бұрын
I can see the attraction if you already have a small power station like the eb3a. I have an ac180, surely it would make sense for me just to buy another AC180, which i can charge up in less the 1.5hrs. If this thing was £299 then maybe but otherwise not worth it. Or alternatively buy 12v 100ah lifepo4 battery that gives you 1,280wh starting from £250. I'm starting to think these powerstations are best combined with conventional 12v lifepo4 batteries, I'm not convinced the B80 is worth it at this price point.

@18:34 Oh yeah, really nice ! Not for an extra $600.00 + USD it isn't ! That expansion battery is at a premium price ! 👎🏻In Canada on Amazon Canada it's retailing for $799.00 CAD ! That's as much or more than the friggin' power station itself ! For those kinda dollars I want to see more expansion capacity than 806 measley Watt Hours. 😩 At least with EcoFlow you are getting more reasonable expansion capacity @ 2KW Hours or even 3.6 KW Hours per expansion battery for the Delta Pro. So what does that extra cost buy you ? Is $800.00 worth an extra 40 minutes of running time ? Not for me it isn't ! 👎🏻

@SolarPunk8011 ай бұрын
@@TechMadeEzy lol well, embarrassingly, your question answers my question! Except I did ask about the Pecron specifically because I was interested in purchasing one snd I remembered hearing it would not be able to support expansion batteries, so I wasn’t sure to what extent the E600 model could be charged by outside batteries ect. Asking furthermore if this B80 would be able to was a terrible example, but because I noticed it doesn’t seem to be compatible with other power stations simply based on no such videos on the topic, not because I paid close attention to the cords/adapters/outlets.

I'm concerned about the suggestion that these batteries should be "stored" at 50%, or 80%, or anything less than 100%. Many of us are buying these expensive devices to provide backup power for refrigerators, etc. I have no idea when we will have a long duration power outage. So do I now have to buy 2 or 3 times the battery capacity to meet my intended needs? I was being led to believe that LFP batteries didn't mind sitting at 100% SoC. What's your opinion of this situation? I enjoy your channel and feel you do a really good job explaining things, but I hate to think I can only depend on these devices to meeting 50% of my needs. I personally own the AC200P and have it sitting under a small table at 100% SoC.

@@TechMadeEzy I ordered a B80 and an Aviation to DC7079 cable for an EB55. Bluetti customer service advised me to go to Amazon and buy an XT60 to DC7079 cable to hook the Aviation cable into and plug into the XT60 port. Not sure why this is needed, but following their direction. I also asked if the B80 and EB55 could be linked with the 12v cigarette to XT60 cable that ships with the EB55. They replied that they don't recommend it but my impression is that it could. Thoughts?

This video is misleading and confusing. If you are "expanding" your device, you need an aviation to aviation cable. If you're using an aviation to dc input, you will be charging your device. So in short out of all the devices he showed in this video the only one you can expand is the ac60 all other you would be charging. Do your research
