That monitor was crystal clear on a daylight! I love that this is lighter than any other 20inch ebike out there. I was able to try the ado a20 & the pedal assist was very responsive compared to fiido & himo so I bet it’s the same with this model. I just wished they could have used a suspension fork like with the A20. In manila, the roads are a bit bumpy so this would definitely add comfort. Lastly, I prefer if this has a throttle so I have better control of the speed instead of an abrupt speed by the pedal assist which is not applicable if you’re in a crowded street.

@@longjon120 From what I remember from the demo, himo was probably in the 3-4-second mark before the pedal assist kicked in on a 15-degree uphill. I own a fiido d4s and I would say it’s probably on a 2.5-second mark. That’s my presumption. Also, perhaps the motor was a factor too because ado20 is 350-watt while fiido & himo have 250.

About the same weight as a Brompton ebike. Now if only it could food as small, because the 20" folders don't fit my train overhead compartments. Personally I wouldn't want a hub motor if only to change a popped tube without extra tools to disconnect the motor. With a middrive you're also able to add internal gear hub, or upgrade/swap wheel/tire

Thanks for this interesting review. Can you say more about the differences between the assist levels? At 2:57 in your video you show a page of the manual that says that the bike only assists after pedaling to 6 km/h and that assistance in PAS1 ends at 15km/h and in PAS2 at 20 km/h. That would be strange for a bike with a torque sensor, where you would expect to get assist right from the start and where usually all assist levels go to 25km/h, being differentiated by the amount of assistance they give (e.g. 70%, 120% and 250%).

In addition, a torque sensor also doesn't make much sense if the motor support stops at 15 and 20 km/h in the first two modes, just like with a simple motion sensor.

@tubenstefan Whoah, just saw your comment and thanks - you stopped me making a mistake and buying the Ado Air! That delayed assist is a dealbreaker for me. I use an e-bike because of arthritis in the knee and assistance from the start, when there is most pressure on the joint, is vital. 6kmh is way too late. Such a nice bike otherwise it's a shame.

I'd like to see a real world test as to the bikes 'real' range with riding with inclines to see some accurate figures on the bikes range. Manufacturers seem to give us figures under perfectly flat, no wind etc., conditions.

With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

It is an over the top bike for its category , but compare to other ( fiido d2s d4s - ado) i notice that 1) the battery can be stolen -removed by anyone extremely easily For examole if you go to supermarket and leave it alone and locked , u can just return and find that battery is missing - can be just removed just pressing 2 buttons? I just checked out Carbo X before coming upon this bike. Carbo X is 13.3 kg and this bike weighed in at 18.5 kg. which is 5.2 kg heavier. or 11.44 pounds heavier. The back mud protector seem to be a little short for it to be a good protection.16 Kg I would not say is super light as there is already one foldable e-bike around 10 Kg (Vello). This is not the first foldable lightweight belt drive ebike… please check your info first, accuracy of information is key… Carbo has been out there much longer and is lighter than this bike with a carbon fiber frame. In fact this bike is dangerously closely modeled after the Carbo model… It is almost identical

In sämtlichen Videos, die man bisher von diesem eBike sehen konnte, haben die Fahrer den Sattel viel zu tief eingestellt. Es sieht immer so aus, als ob sie in der Hocke fahren. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.

Not true. The Carbo X has been out for several years and has a carbon belt, carbon fiber frame and is foldable. ADO copied their whole design basically. I've owned a Carbo X and Carbo S for several years and highly recommend them. No need to wait for this ADO Air bike.

@@Jordan-cl9xr It's cheaper due to much cheaper parts. The Carbo X is premium Japanese carbon fiber and practically indestructible. I've owned one for over 2 years and it is still running like day 1. I put it through extreme stress testing, riding down hills, off jumps, in all types of weather conditions in NYC and I never had problems with it at all. The Carbo is also about 5 lbs light than the ADO, which is significant if you have to lift it up several flights of stairs anytime you want to use it. Plus you can get an angled stem to sit more upright, which is more comfortable on the Carbo. This ADO only has a vertical stem with a longer reach so it won't be as comfortable. The only reason I'd consider buying this ADO is if it can be unlocked for the speed and go faster than 30mph. If that is the case then it is attractive to me. I want a balance between speed, lightness and portability.

Samsung battery with a 100km range, which is more than enough for commuters

100 km is actually an overkill for a commuter or city bike because most distances are under 10 km. If you need to travel 20+ km on a bike, then another type of bike is recommended. Those go up to 45 km/h legally, but you have to have a driving licence, a number plate, get insurance, and wear a special helmet. Those cost several thousand EUR but most rarely go above 100 km range.
