Seat post doesn’t technically count as dual suspension, that would be front and rear. I have an XP 3.0 bought in April and already have 1300 miles, it cruises on pavement but bounces and rattles all over off-road. Engwe does have some comparable dual suspension bikes but that would be the EP 2.0

I've had several e-bikes and I was looking for one that was small enough to fit two in the back of our 2017 Chevy Volt. I found one on Amazon, that is currently (May '24) about $500 including shipping,. "Vivi M026TGB 26" Folding Electric Mountain Bike with 500W Motor, 48V". I was skeptical as it sounded too good to be true, but I was surprised how good they are. I like the fact that they are full size 26" with full suspension. They fold up nicely, look pretty sharp, and the battery seems to give a solid 20 miles of range, which is really my limit before my butt gets too sore. :) I was used to paying over $1,000 (closer to $2,000) for our e-bikes and was surprised how OK these were at such a low price.

Very much looking forward to your Brompton ebike review. You might also want to review the Zizzo e-Forte electric bike (under a thousand dollars, came out late 2023). One thing to consider is bike weight handling by shorter or lighter people. I know someone who loved the fit of the Synch 2 so bought it, then discovered that the bike was too heavy to keep upright if it started to tip, so fell multiple times...this person has had both shoulder joints replaced and both spouse and this person have had back surgeries. So they also have trouble getting it into their car. For a lot of folks, ebikes in the under 50# range are much easier to handle, load, pedal unpowered, than those in the 60-80 or higher pound range. edited for typos

For me 50lbs max, closer to 40# better (Tern Vektron, Zizzo e-Forte), and ~ 2" wide tires are the sweet spot to retain the feeling that you are still riding a bike and not a beach cruiser. Once you get over 40# the number of folks that can heave these things into a trunk, RV, boat goes down rapidly.

Aside from the Brompton, all those bikes are H E A V Y AF! What is the point of a folder if they are 55-80 freaking pounds?

You had one small mistake on the Sinch. It can be unlocked in the Aventon app to 25mph. Not quite 28, but better than 20.

Haven't tested any folding bikes from them. Hopefully we can get some in soon and see how they stack up.
Over 2 minutes to get to the point. The Rad Expand is $2,099.

Am I missing you didn’t show how any of them fold?

We do that in the individual reviews for each bike. This was intended as a highlight video, but we encourage you to check out the in-depth reviews for the model(s) you like.

How can you review folding bikes and not discuss folding??
@ElectricBikeReport4 ай бұрын
Most folding bikes operate in a similar fashion, with a collapsing/telescoping stem and a central hinge in the frame. We will likely add folded dimensions to videos like this in the future, but it's safe to assume that all of the bikes on this list fold effectively.
