@@flintironstag9983 none of my 5 SS guns have any creep in the triggers. The War Poet model is exceptional. 4lb break. Zero creep, zero mush. My gen 5 triggers all have a bit of creep before the break, and mushy as hell. It doesn’t bother me.

I'm lucky to have a DR920 and Timney trigger that work extremely well together, but it seems like there will occasionally be some issues. You guys should really come out with a Shadow Systems equivalent to the Timney Alpha or Glock Performance Trigger!
@thefrogking481

Replace two springs ( I'm not going to tell you which two) and your stock trigger will be much cleaner feeling. No need ever to drop a ton of cash on an aftermarket trigger for a Glock. Remember that YT guys are making videos to sell you junk you don't need. Both springs cost about $15 bucks combined and will take 10 mins ( first time) to install.
@jackwicker
@jackwicker 11 ай бұрын
@@thefrogking481 I've done plenty of spring kits before. The shadow systems pistols don't really need a new trigger shoe, so you can save money there, but pretravel/overtravel reduction and a conversion to a precooked striker is a huge step above just a spring kit.

I put a Timney Alpha in my MR920 Elite because the stock trigger was the same, if not worse than a stock Glock trigger. I expected more from Shadow Systems. I initially had trigger reset issues, with both the stock and Timney trigger, but had some additional success with replacing the SS connector with a stock Glock connector. I'm on the verge of selling my MR920 Elite. I also just sent my CR920 back to SS because the trigger was super spongey. SS confirmed the issue and replaced the trigger pack, trigger, and firing pin. There's obviously an issue here, and it feels like SS blames the customer or the potential of aftermarket parts, rather than addressing their QC. I'm not thrilled with this direction.

The MRL has an imo a good trigger ( light take up, feels like 5ish lbs at break) the DR foundation for whatever reason IS SIGNIFICANTLY HEAVIER…. Feels like 6.5ish lbs. My personal opinion on aftermarket anything when it comes to your firearms. Someone's EDC pistol. Nope! Leave it! Alone! Just carry it and most importantly. Practice with it. Dry fire and live fire practice. Now! A range fun firearm to build. 💯, have a fun gun to build and shoot. Me personally, I'll never touch my shadow systems MR920L pistol with aftermarket bullshit. It's ready to go out the box like it is. So, way would Someone mess with a DAM good pistol.

Absolutely love the people bashing the trigger. If you hate the trigger so much, then don’t buy the gun. Or…if you buy it insisting on changing the trigger, accept that it voids the warranty. Why would anyone expect a company to warranty a gun with a third party critical component. Absurd. And to the Timney or Glock Performance Trigger fans….these exists why?!?!?!? Because people think their beloved Glock trigger sucks.
@arlissyoung8899
@arlissyoung8899 11 ай бұрын
It's not a think their not so beloved Glock triggers sucks, it's been a well known FACT for all these years 1980s that Glocks have the worst trigger of any gun on the market. I own 7 Glocks, NOT ONE of them was fired with the stock Glock trigger. Very long pretravel, super spongy sloppy break, very long reset. Not one of my Glocks broke less than 6 1/2 lbs. most where 7 + lbs. I put Timnely triggers in them ALL before I would even shoot them. Yes I am older, Yes I have been a competitive shooter, Yes I knew well ahead of time Glock triggers where a POC out of the box. If ANYONE thinks Glocks have a good or even OK trigger they don't have a clue IMO.

Guys need to realize and accept "intended usage". A striker fired pistol will NEVER have a comparrable trigger to a quality 1911. On the same note a home built hotrod will never win the Indy 500. My EDC is a stock trigger MR920 Elite. The only mods made is a Radian Ram jet and Afternurner ( cant reccomend enough) with a Trijicon RMR (no chinese shit for me). If I want to feel a clean break I break out my Staccatto, my Wilson Combat or one of my old 1911's. The Glock/Shadow Syatem trigger cant compete....with that said no 1911 or 2011 can compete with being caked in shirt lint, sweat and still be 100% reliable. Face it Jimmy Jo Bob, the guys who design and build these pistols know more about their platforms than we do. Leave em alone!

And if we never tell them what they're doing wrong, how would they know how to improve and stay ahead of the competition. SS is expanding into the competition world and have competition shooters on staff. These performance triggers do not need to come stock, but as after market components similar to glock or alpha timney offerings. This way, they can maintain the core reliability of their pistols while providing for the needs of the competition market. A market which is the best place for user testing of their products since those pistols go through the most rigorous use (for example, 8000 rounds in a year)
