Absolutely awesome!! I have the SL-1950 and its basically the same thing with just a added drop changer spindle you can change out which is why I love it. I can play off center records easily. Since I maintain my own equipment this will be very helpful. Thank you guys!

This is amazing this really convinced me to get one. I've been looking for a next turntable, one with DD and full auto functions and this one was it. Your video convinced me it was something special and from all the things I've read about it (and there's PLENTY), may as well be the crowned jewel for lazy audiophiles like me. The SL-1200 would have been perfect but it's large and fully manual. With the 1900, the only loss is VTA adjustment. Not a deal breaker at all! Overall I can tell it's well loved by the community!

Man I just inherited one of these and this is super helpful. Just curious, how long did this take you to build?

I'd like to know how you modeled such complex components - 3d scanner or ... ? At any rate, great job! I need to fix my Bang and Olufsen RX2 turntable and I'm hoping you'll spend another 100 hours modeling it in CAD for me too!
@mathewspencer43238 жыл бұрын
Hey man thanks. When it came to measuring all of the parts, me and my project partner used calipers. No 3D scanning involved. And this was for a semester long project in a graduate level CAD course, so there are no plans to do another one.

Put the cad drawings out there as a Creative Commons file so that people can 3D print more SL-1900 turntables!

@@mathewspencer4323 Do you have plans to release this model for sale or free download?

Now you know why today most turntables dont have any automatic functions: less parts,lower assembling time,lower cost.

Impressive video! I was hoping to see how to remove the feet of this turntable. Input more than welcome! Thanx!
@mathewspencer43237 жыл бұрын
TheMaestro58 I think that was the one thing we did not remove when we did this. I believe there was a screw on the inside that held it in
@fk63584 жыл бұрын
@@mathewspencer4323 you just have to take off the cover and screw it out. Only a little metal platter from the inside. You have to hold it an srew it out. That´s all
