The SL-D2 is the Exact turntable I had when I was in high school in 1979! How I do miss her... I hope to be able to get another one some day. So many thanks for the stereo memories.....

Very nice. I purchased a Technics stereo receiver and an SL-D2 new in 1975, I believe. Still have the turntable, but I think I'd need a pre-amp to hook it to my modern reciever.

Daviedare yes I have a Pyle pro preamp hooked up to my modern pioneer reciever. Very good quality preamp and very affordable.

@@randyharrigan4790 The TEC TC-750 is superior to the Pyle, I have the 778 that has flat curve for ancient 78 records and RIAA for vinyl

I've got the same one. My daughter just brought it up from the basement, and the rubber mat was an oily mess. I just want a low cost replacement.

These sell for about 200.00 on Ebay, I have the same Technics SL-D2 Direct Drive Automatic's and am considering cashing in; since I no longer have LP's.

The turntable is plugged into a amplifier that supports phono input (Phono Pre Amp)
