Man I feel ya on the Carolina rig! I was just telling my buddy I haven’t fished one in 20+ years and I just picked it back up lol it was a great way to catch fish when I was a kid but then I learned a dropshot and just forgot about it

Need to do lake breakdown of the month we have enough baits and colors, Do something different and teach us on lake breakdowns upper vs lower end etc.

@@TN-Vols-FanI keep a C rig wet from mid-April until the fall push in November. No reason a bass feeding on or near the bottom NOT to hit a properly-rigged soft plastic on it and the right leader length.

And I retrieve it the same as a Texas rig. I can’t get bit with king leaders and can’t cast either and can’t set the hook when fish do bite.

I love Carolina rigs but I don’t like long leaders. I like 2’ at the most. 1’ to 2’ leaders

Ott, really pulling for you to get AOY. Question that you may not be in a position to answer even if you know the answer. But, I'll ask it just in case. During MLF Live telecast on Heavy Hitters Chat, JT and Marty all were talking about "every fish counts" vs "5 fish" format. All were pretty strong in favoring "every fish counts." I can't believe they were so open in discussing this without the blessing of MLG. They seemed to be implying that next year MLF would go back to "every fish counts" with a higher minimum weight. Have you heard anything about this that you can share publicly? Note: I definitely prefer every fish counts, so I am biased. Now, go down to Bama and win Guntersville! God bless you.
