I love your locs. I want to start with two strand twists as well and I share a similar hair texture with you so I hope that mine will be as thick and healthy as yours some day. Your daughter is gorgeous just like her mother.

Hey! Could you please explain why these should be done only on wet hair? I do them on dry hair too :(
@thedigitalloctician
@thedigitalloctician 6 жыл бұрын
Your hair is more elastic when it's wet to sustain all of the manipulation without breakage. When it's dry you won't have any lasting results.

Thank you so very much for these techniques! I hadn't heard of either of them. Would you recommend using distilled water to spritz on the locs beforehand? I've heard that even hard water can cause buildup - in terms of mineral deposits. Thank you again for this brief but very informative video! Many Blessings to you, your wonderful husband, and your adorable little baby! (She looks just like you!) 😊

Bonafide1970 filtered (bottled) water works as well and is less expensive. Rosewater is an awesome moisturizer too🖒 HTH

evie cruz Thank you so much! ...and Yes, I agree. Rosewater is a truly amazing moisturizer! I've made it from scratch and used it as a base for my homemade moisturizer mixture. It smells heavenly as well. 🌹🌹🌹

It's been said that rubbing locs back and forth is bad. But when I had locs, the ones in the back had no friz because they rubbed against my clothes. Hmm...

I am curious, do you find your hair is fuller with diamond parts opposed to your last (brick) set. I looked back at your old videos (last set) and they appear fuller. Is that because u have less locs now or because of the diamond parts? Your locs are absolutely beautiful and I love your texture. I have fine hair that looks course but is soft, I need to decide on right parting sys. for my hair. Everyone says diamond but all the research I've done the locs seem farther apart with this method. I'm so confused.

Yes that's why I started over to change my parting system. Visit my blog and you can review the article about parting.

Can you make a video about the dos and donts about loc rubbing. One person says go in one direction, while another says you can rub but only on wet hair. I'm only two months in. Should I be loc rubbing or just palm rolling??

Thanks for sharing! I’m six months in and I have a few flat locs. Is it too late to get them to round out?
@thedigitalloctician
@thedigitalloctician 6 жыл бұрын
Depends on your hair texture... But if you start cultivating your locs regularly they should begin to round out.

Your hair looks great with no retwist. I’ve tried wrapping the stray hairs around my Locs but it doesn’t stay 😩for me. Have you tried the braid technique for the loose hairs? I’ve tried it on mine and it’s been great so far so good. 👍🏾Will be posting vid on it soon if your interested look 👀 out for it. Loved your Hubby and baby making an appearance. 😊👌🏾💕💕💕
@thedigitalloctician

You probably need a micro crochet hook to pull them in then if you're wrapping doesn't stay after several weeks

What people don't know is that palm rolling is not good for your locs because it thins them out.
@thedigitalloctician
@thedigitalloctician 5 жыл бұрын
That's not true at all! I can show you plenty of examples palm-rolled locs that are healthy and full. If you don't know what you're doing, yes you will cause damage. But that is not the technique it's the lack of knowledge.

No that means they have a very old way of doing things and haven’t adapted or understood better practices that don’t cause damage
