Some banks don't allow to set bill generation date to our desired date. They offer their own set of dates for bill generation to choose from like ICICI, IDFC, CITI, BOB etc.

No. Cibil is only affected by repayment. Yes. Whenever any cibil inquiry is made by any financial institution, the cibil takes a hit. Also, once you get credit (card, loan, etc) cibil takes a hit. But that is very marginal, won't affect much, and will be recovered in a couple of months. Don't apply too many times for credit as this will cumulatively affect the cibil, plus your application will most likely be rejected as it gives an impression that this person is very credit hungry and lowers the trust. Always apply for credit at the most once in 6 months (or preferably once a year). This will keep inquiries under check. Generating your own cibil report/score for your own knowledge won't affect cibil. Only inquiries made by financial insts hit cibil. That too only hard inquiries. And generally, many banks do only soft inquiries.

My thoughts exactly. My utilization ratio is quite small and I always pay full before due date but my CIBIL is declining slowly but surely. Maybe it's because I have 6 enquiries in 6 months but I've seen people with 15 enquiries in a year have 750+ score. One guy said he has 42 enquiries in 10 months and still his CIBIL is 770. Idk how these algorithms work!

@@akashtopder7251 if you having multiple cards make sure you use time regularly and ensure their statements get generated and then paid in full. Not using any credit card and keeping it idle can also affect the score. I've been maitaining 25 credit cards 5 bnpl accounts and 1 personal loan and still able to increase my credit score.

No. Never do full payment. Instead min. bill of 1rs should be generated. for your cc. Because no. of payment on time increases your cibil score. If you pay full in advance before bill generation it will not be counted in on time payment.

Payment received ka msg aata hi hai! That is counted as CC payment. Aur, ye saare incoming txn statement me highlighted hote hai.
