A red card, 3 game ban for a player. If a red card is overturned then the ref should get a 3 game ban and a fine. VAR gives the chance for the correct decision. Again if the VAR decision gets overturned by FA then the people in the VAR room also get a 3 game ban and a fine. This would make all refs think before they make a game changing decision. Any talk of bias, bribery and betting would be less.

Arsenal MUST now concentrate on the Champions League. It’s now become perfectly clear a conscious decision was made at PGMOL last season after Arteta described the referees association as disgraceful post the Newcastle debacle, that they would ensure preventing Arsenal from winning any domestic silverware going forward…….Arsenal MUST now concentrate on the Champions League. MLS is a special child, you don’t touch special children, karma works full time for special children. Micheal Oliver gave him a yellow card in a game he didn’t even play in, he went on to give him a red for a challenge that doesn’t deserve a red card.

We want the VAR and PGMOL to face charges for why they failed to help the refree errors 😕 seriously Arsenal should file a case against the VAR and PGMOL

Why must officiating be controversial when VAR was brought in to assistant. If there’s no corruption or bias, why not let video evidence correct the “errors”?

Just a reminder that MLS was the first player ever yellow carded in an EPL game before getting their EPL debut. Who was the ref goving him the card. Yeh, it was Michael Oliver.

At Ipswich vs Southampton, both sides supporters should turn up to that game with a red card in their pocket that reads “PGMOL Corrupt” and everyone in the stadium raise their card in protest against the pgmol and Michael Oliver who’s reffing that game

I've changed my mind about the proposed European Super League, it's clear there is a vindictive vendetta against Arsenal by the PGMOL and they are a deeply corrupt and incompetent organisation, we must escape their persecution at the next opportunity.

Goal line tech - SORTED. AI offside - SORTED. Ref manages the game as normal - SORTED. VAR only gets involved for 'off the ball' red card incidents and encroachment at penalties - SORTED. Managers given two appeal cards at the start of the game which can be handed to the 4th official to appeal an incident and force the referee to review it. If the review is upheld the card is returned and if a manger ends the game with any cards he can carry one over to the next game so he starts that game with three cards which will discourage flippant appealing - SORTED. Use of appeal cards will stop diving in the penalty area as it will cost his team an appeal card. - SORTED.

Absolutely but getting rid of VAR completely is not the solution here. Without VAR those two mistakes in that game would still happen and it's exactly those types of mistakes that VAR was brought in to help with. This why we need to separate the on field referee's from the people in the VAR room. Anyone with even the most basic understanding of the rules of the game would be able to say to the referee "I think you should take another look at that," and if the ref stands by his decision (right or wrong) then that's on them, VAR did their job. before VAR referees were getting about 92% of call "correct" and I use that word lightly because the rules of the game are VERY subjective and there is barely a foul committed that EVERYONE agrees with what the call should be. Since VAR that percentage has gone up BUT then these obvious mistakes get blown up even more. Because, in the case of that Arsenal red card, that's not just one mistake but a collection of mistakes that eventually lead to the wrong call being made and upheld. Finally you have the people that blow everything out of proportion. referees will make mistakes, they will make the wrong calls on corners, throw-ins, fouls etc. but those will ALWAYS happen and people need to get over that. VAR is not there to "fix" those mistakes. but when people lump those mistakes in with the big ones and say "ohh it's all terrible" then the argument of "how do we use VAR properly" gets lost.

VAR is crucial to the modern game scrapping it will just put us back at square one. VAR should be done by an independent organisation just like how the Red card appeals are done no mates race and less bias (bias is impossible to eradicate in any sport/walk of life)

There should be a ref in the VAR room so all the laws of the game are adhered to and independent ex player's making decisions that up to date with the modern game VAR is not the problem it's VAR officials and plmo orders

Interesting. Oliver HOLT thinks it could easily have been a red card. And he purports to be an educated football person. His job title indicates that. He is part of the problem here, sidling up alongside Sky, Neville & Carragher and ignoring the issues we all have with officials in England. His position should be far more challenging and open. The guy has disappointed me no end with his attack on MLS. Stopped reading him now so easy solution.

Oliver Holt eats from the same trough as Neville and Gallagher. He's awful chummy with the PGMOL. I'm guessing he doesn't want his access to the PGMOL pulled so he spouts their propaganda.

These guys are not helping the case that the rest of the league are laughing at how Arsenal and all supporters are whining about officiating way too much. Arsenal are too talented to have to resort to this level of whining. This starts with Arteta’s messaging on how unfair the officials are. Arteta has built that culture and now it has infected every supporter of this team. It is not about the standard of refereeing.

The reason why we are treated differently is because of our fanbase. Rival fans respect Arteta more than our own fans..it's the fans that stop us getting over the line..the negativity is as low as hell itself ...the refs can't help but show their biases against us..having standards? Fine but Arsenal fans standards are fake at best..no your place and build on it
