Have been using the TST. use the sealed sensors. Tried the others they just didn’t last for me. but I operate in extreme conditions. Just keep 2 spares. Verry happy with the monochrome display. It’s so easy on the eyes at night. Thanks helping one from a super single blow out. I thought about the app. however tire pressure is like oil pressure and temp gauge for me. But also understand why some may like the app.

I agree so much with Tom S that I sold my TST and got the I10 last year at the Tampa RV show. I LOVE it!! All the pressures or temps I want to see all the time at one time. And the TST display is so hard to see in certain lighting situations. At least TST now offers a shade.
@ClayAutery4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Eric! I am actively lobbying TST to commission an app to add to their stable of products. I actually want BOTH a display AND an app. And I am considering putting the remote spare kit on it with sensors to try it out.

Thanks Clay. I would love to see that too. Eric

Maybe I missed it but can I get internal sensors (not valve cap sensors) for the Tire Minder app based TPMS?
@mileswindham8336Ай бұрын
I have the TST system with the sensors for steel valve stems and the ones for my Ford 3500. My problem is every time I start my pickup, alarms start going off over and over. They usually finally quit making that God awful beeping after about 10 minuets . May be my error I don’t know. I need help !!!!
@dummkompf Жыл бұрын
is there any aftermarket kit that uses internal sensors like the oem tpms systems? It's not that hard to unseat one side of the bead to install the internal ones, and that way you don't have the sensors getting in the way of the valves when you want to air up your tires, which would be a huge hassle

Hi Eric, 2 questions: Do you put a sensor on your spare? Have you heard anything about TST getting an app? Thanks!
@Technorv3 жыл бұрын
Hi Todd, I dont have a spare on my Class A. I do have sensors on my toad spare. If I have a spare, I would certainly have a sensor on it. No word on a App yet. Thanks for the comment. Eric

There is no app for the I10? I was given the impression (not by TechnoRV but by another reviewer) that the I10 worked with the APP. I have a TT and want to monitor while away from the tow vehicle which is why I’m looking for an app. But if I need an adapter in the vehicle that’s a real shortcoming of the Tireminder App.
@Technorv2 жыл бұрын
Hey Phil, I'm sorry you were given the wrong impression. We carry both the TireMinder i10 and the TireMinder APP models, but no, the i10 does not work with the app. You do need a bluetooth adapter with the app model, not just in the truck, but in your pocket as you are programming the sensors on each tire. Bluetooth doesn't travel very far.
@phill44352 жыл бұрын
@@Technorv I feel I should clarify. It was not TechnoRV that led me to believe the I10 supported the App, it was another site. I noticed however, that TechnoRV does not sell the A1AS which has both a display and bluetooth support (at a cast). When I found that the app connects to the monitor and they have to be in the same place, I didn't see much value in having to pay for both. I'm now leaning toward the i10.

I’ve heard flow through sensors can leak. Any inputs on that issue?
@Technorv2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gary, yeah there are rumors swirling about this. Always have been! But no, there's no validity to it. Typically a leak issue when using a sensor is due to a missing or damaged valve stem gasket, which is easily replaceable and should be replaced once per year along with the o-rings and batteries. Another reason for leaks is a valve stem issue. In other words, it's extremely rare for the sensor to just leak for no justifiable reason. Hope this helps!

Tire Minder also has the Flow through sensors. They also will send free batteries each year,
@Technorv4 жыл бұрын
Yes, Dan. We forgot to mention the battery replacement program. Thanks! As for the flow through sensors, we were told by TireMinder they would be released in March/April and we will be testing them then. You may find them on other sites, but they say they are not in stock yet and won't ship until May/June.

@@Technorv any update on the flow through sensor caps? I looked on your website and TireMinder but did not see any?
@billmalec Жыл бұрын
So, the flow through has a cap over the end of it and you have to remove that, right?... So, in reality what's the difference?
@Technorv Жыл бұрын
Good question! The small plastic valve stem cover is not necessary for the tpms sensor to function correctly. Many people install the flow thru sensors on tires that might be hard to reach. By removing the plastic valve cover you would be able to add air directly to the tire through the sensor.

Eric, I purchased the TST 507 from you. When the monitor is mounted on the windshield, during the day, being sunny and bright, the screen is real dark and I can't read the numbers or information. I'm disappointed with this problem.
@Technorv3 жыл бұрын
Have you checked out the sunshade? It helps on the days the sun is coming in and hitting the monitor. I have mine on my dash and can see it without the shade, but if you mount the monitor close to a window and the sun is at an angle that hits it wrong, it visibility could be affected. You can check the sunshade out here: www.technorv.com/tst-507-monitor-sunshade/

Nice comparison. I'm surprised the TST system (which I have) can't keep the individual tire pressures and temps displayed all the time in their monitor. It's very distracting, and it takes your eyes off the rood too much, waiting and waiting for each tire to individually show it's pressure. It takes over a minute to cycle through all 6 tires on our RV. It could be so much better, if they would design it.
@Technorv4 жыл бұрын
If you want to see all of your tires quickly, you can scroll through them using the buttons. We do this before taking off to get a quick look at all 10 positions.

Are you referring to the TST507?I'm trying to decide if thats the best one to get. Thanks😊
@topgun53992 жыл бұрын
The tst is good BUT it does not give you all the tires at once. You have to keep looking at it and wait for all the tires to show up one at a time. The tireminder one look and it's all there. psi press the middle once and the temp is all there and in color. Auto for above or below psi & temp. Just set the the psi according to your tire and it adjust above or below the psi & temp automatically. It does the same thing as the tst for half the price. One of the best if not the best. RELIABLE!. I have one and it's great

Which system has the LOUDEST alarm warning sounds and which system has the BEST visible screen in all lighting conditions (day/night)?
@Technorv3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronald, All of the units have a loud audible alarm, and a visual flashing light as well. The TST has a optional sunshade that helps with those situations where you may have direct sunlight on the monitor. Direct sunlight can wash out any screen, but the sunshade is great and we have little trouble seeing the TST screen. I hope this helps. Eric

Eric, what is your thoughts on the sensors causing issues with rubber valve stems. Seems to be a devided topic.
@Technorv4 жыл бұрын
Hi George, yes, this is a topic of conversation for sure. We have sold a lot of TPMS and we have always advised that cap sensors are ok on rubber and metal valve stems, but the flow thru sensors need to go on metal valve stems. I have run like this personally for a lot of miles with no issues. I think if someone with rubber valve stems had a issue it may be because the valve stem was not in great condition in the first place. Of course, there are one offs with anything, but for the most part, I hope this helps. Eric
