Sir do the different mep equipments need to be bms compliance or specifications wise need to be in built

It depends on the site requirements and the equipment under consideration. For example MCC panels for AHUs, pumps shall have provision for control and monitoring from the BMS. Usually chillers come with built-in provision for BMS connection.

Great video! I got a question regarding Network IDs. Must these Network IDs be unique across the whole System? Similar to device ID.

Yes each network inside the system Shall have unique Network ID.

Each BACnet network (either IP or MSTP) have network number which shall be unique. Usually we have a single BACnet IP network where all IP controllers are connected while there are more MSTP networks. Hope you get the answer.

Brother if Bacnet mstp is used with almost 8 to 10 vfds (objects) and all are in loop with each other, and if one of them is not working, will it effect the status on bms screen ? The ON OR OFF status on screen ?

Hi if one of the VFD is offline, it might show error on the BMS workstation depending on the configurarion. All other VFD points shall be normal.

Hi, Usually CCTV cameras doesn't support BACnet protocol. To intergarate CCTV into BACnet you might need a Gateway devices.

BacNet is one of the protocols to be used in BMS. Do you have any restriction to use other protocols, for istance, Modbus? There are a lot of BMS solutions provided by Vendors considering different protocols. Can present the pros and cons compared with Bacnet?

BACnet IP is my preference anyway.... Cleaner and with the properties it is easier to navigate and locate points and values

DDC stands for Direct digital controller, it is physical controller devices in which our control program is executed. While BACnet is one of the communication protocol being used by controllers to communicate with each other..devices with BACnet implementation are usually known as BACnet devices which can be a controller, smart sensor or some smart actuator.. Yes BMS has good scope but it also depends where are you living. It has good scope as everyone is finding ways to save energy and BMS helps in it a lot by providing efficient controls and montioring for building systems especially HVAC.
