4.5% GPS error is indeed bad when its on lower side(pun intended)..then whats the use of half baked product..not all people can afford to buy smartwatch every 2 years...i rather pay 100$ extra to get an all round one time IP68 swimproof watch around max 250-300$ range...going by the competition..i am sure it will be there soon this year...Big thanks to you for bringing out real world data unlike other reviewers who give paper specs reviews.

I'm still using Huawei Watch GT and I'm delighted. I love having a watch that can show me time, notifications and nothing more than that. I do not want phone on my wrist, only a watch. Also, screen and battery is fantastic. One year later and it's still working great!

Mi Band 4 is also a solid choice, try it for yourself, also for my experience gps on every day, timer, alarms, 1h workouts (weekends 4h) it gets me through 18 to 21 days

I bought a Huawei Watch GT one year ago. This month I bought the Honor Magi Watch 2. You are right voor 99% the Huawei Watch GT is good enough. Why did I change. I liked the extra features like stress messure and music and handsfree calling on the bike. Main purpose fitness measuring and for that purpose the Huawei Watch GT is god enough. Long battery life. Always monitoring and 2 till 3 workouts a week. Al least one week.

@@nilesh747 Honor or Huawei ones are better but fewer customization options. Not all Chinese apps are banned. By the way, save more and get any Samsung watches. Even if you have to wait for a year., I will advise you to save more money and buy a Samsung one.

@@nilesh747 yes, galaxy watch 42mm one is around 15 to 17k. Almost all sensors are there except Compass(magnetometer), by the way there are some apps which use GPS to provide you directions info. You can check many videos showing differents between honor magic watch 2 and galaxy watch. Watch 3 is more expensive but galaxy one is good in its price range

Great review as always! Also, Honor Magicwatch 2 seams very nice :) I have the MagicWatch (1) and I am quite happy with it. I have also a Garmin VivoActive 3 and Amazfit Stratos. Compared to those other two, MagicWatch (1) was quite in line with Garmin, but I imagine that satellite chip is changed in new version. The only quirk I still have is that Huawei Health (on Android smartphone - Xiaomi) is not showing watch faces options, but that could be related to some Huawei limitation or even just because of my region (Montenegro). As a side-note, I have a Scosche Rhythm 24, and must say that out of previously said watches, MagicWatch heart-rate readings are the closest.

I've a polar heart rate monitor and from other rides know my rates more or less and it seems very close. The GPS and that are much better than the Amazfit GTR I have. So this replaces it. The watch faces work on my P30 Pro fine. Could get it working with my S10+

Even though Honor Magic (1 and 2), and Huawei GT (1 and 2) are great watches with excellent sensors, if you need even one external sensor - you are out of luck - non of those are supported; For example: bike cadence, speed or power. Haven't tried on rides outside, where I presume GPS "plays" major role, but for bike indoors - it's useless If you are outdoor type rest assured that Honor Magic will have you covered, but if you need external sensors (ANT+ or BT) look in direction of Garmin Vivoactive 3 or newer, or Polar Ignite

About 10-11 hours with continuous GPS tracking being used. GPS burns through the battery quick. About 8-10% per hour but sometimes less.

The [non existent) GPS accuracy is a complete dealbreaker for a real sportswatch. 5% for a 3 hour marathon would mean 9!!! minutes difference. That means that your window is between 2:51 and 3:09. Completely unacceptable. To clarify: 18 Minutes!!!

Great review, just bought a second hand 42mm model at a bargain (with some scuffs). Hope the audio feedback is working with a headset connected through BT? I do like the images I have seen of the real-time Compass and faces that show a tiny compas and GPS data. Seems ideal for me for outdoor trail tracking. I never had OLED before besides a band 6 that I love too. Battery life and quick charge is a priority for me, hearttracking is a bonus. I paid about $35 with shipping.

In these reviews, highlighting the tracking modes (or even just the unusual ones) would be great. I do have a GTR, which works well for me, but I'm missing exercise tracking for rowing (one of the most essential exercises) and boxing (which tbf is quite exotic).

No need to connect to it. Just start your track working and it has built in GPS. Later sync with the app you you can see where you went, the distance,climb average heart rate and speed it's all there.
