I just picked up a 55" LG C2 OLED and love it, feel like its a good time to upgrade the soundbar. Always wanted surround sound in my home theatre, hoping this soundbar will do the trick!

Please tell me if there is such a thing that these rear speakers just seem to play with the front and not like in real systems and receivers play the background I'm just wondering if I need to switch to such a system after my 5.1 old Yamaha receiver 😮

I have a C3 but before i buy the SC9S id like to know the depth of the sound bar and stand combined with the rear support to use it as a tabletop stand. The shelf i have the TV on isn’t very deep and I can’t have the sound bar stick out past the edge of the shelf. If you happen to be using it as a table top you would be doing me a huge favor if you could take precise measurement of the depth. I looked all over and LG only lists the dimensions of the sound bar itself not the combined depth of the bar, stand, and support bracket combined. 🙏

FILMMAKER MODE isn't "old school" nor does it "slow the image down". It presents it in the frame rate and color that's intended for it to be seen.

24fps I get it, but a lot of content is now 30fps or even 60fps; many TV's interpolate frames to these framerates so that's what creates the "soap opera effect." Intent depends on source content.

@@TheChanClanLife But if you're watching a 30fps or 60fps video on your TV in FILMMAKER MODE, it'll retain the 30fps or 60fps.

Yes it does, the soundbar also comes with it's own remote that I don't use, because the LG TV's magic remote can control both

@@TheChanClanLife The SC9S Manual PDF says, "You cannot control the product with the LG TV's Magic Remote Control."

you can't control the soundbar with it directly, you can control the tv sound and when the tv is hooked up to the soundbar it will adjust the tv sound and therefore the soundbar. If you were listening to your phone using bluetooth to the soundbar the TV remote wouldn't work. @@BWW2015

Can we wall mount this soundbar under a non-oled Sony bravia? Because sony tv is thicker than OLED so was wondering would the upward firing speakers get blocked under any TV that isn't oled

I am currently using firmware 03.33.15 on my LG C2 which enabled Wow Orchestra with my LG SC9S soundbar. When playing back Dolby Atmos content via Apple TV, the top right corner will show 'Wow Orchestra Dolby Atmos'. If I were to switch the sound output to External Device (eARC) only and when playing back the same content, the Dolby Atmos logo will not appear on the top right of the screen. Can I check how does your SC9S works for the above?
