“Life 3.0” By Max Tegmark is also a good book to learn about The pros and cons of AI in different scenario in the long and short run ! I am glad to see someone in the field trying to rise the awareness and wake us up! I always felt like we are left behind when in comes to not only IA, in technology generally.

Born and raised in Addis, parent/mom got deported from Ethiopia because of her Eritrean origin. So Amharic is her language. English is learned.

i wish more habesha are proactive in teaching their children amharic and/or tigrinya. Habesha people take for granted these are the only languages with script on the continent and has ancient beginnings. It is good for kids' brains as well - will not confuse them at all.

I have been following her on the news lately and it was great to hear from her in her origin language. “Weapons of Math Destruction” the book Dr. Gebru has mentioned in the interview by Cathy O’Neil is a great book. I had to read it for one of my classes in college and I still have the book. It has a lot of answers to many questions we might have around AI and technology. Additional books that might help...
