One thing that really drives me crazy in a "hybrid" camera is when you are forced to start with the same settings each time you switch back and fourth between modes-- as oposed to being able to set your settings indepentenly for each mode. I have an EOS R and it lets me set ISO/F/Shutter for photography then when i switch to video it lets me set those setting indepentently VS my 5DMark IV. where the settings stay the same even when switching back and fourth. So when im shooting sports its very frustrating to set your shutter speed to something like 1/400 for photos then when i switch in to video mode it forces you to start at 1/400. I say all this because im curious if you can tell me how the cameras you reviewed in the video handle this problem? Thanks!

You are missing the Nikon Z8 which also records raw internal.

I'll be reviewing the z8 later this month. so lets see what up with it then. I tested the z50 z30 and they have okay / decent autofocus and stabilization. An the camera on this list are most than just specs its also the other features like stabilization / autofocus/ menus / ergonomics

@@TechThroughTheLens FYI those early Nikon mirrorless had worse auto focus than their DSLRs. It only got fixed from Z9 onwards. So for now Z9, Z8, Zf.

It depends on how deep of a discount.. like if you got either camera for a 500$? But the older cameras lack most of the new feature like enhanced autofocus and ibis. And your lenses will be for the older system. I would get a new camera if you have the budget

Canon R8 is essentially an R6Mkii without the bigger battery, the MP, and the dual card slot, but you can get it for around $1000 used.

my A7CII definitely slaps pretty hard, i can't figure out the gamma assist without uploading luts, but since im not really shooting people animals or cars the AI AF isn't super useful. then i still feel like i can get slightly better video quality out of my A7RV weirdly enough. Maybe i need to start shooting in 24fps I do actually shoot in SLOG3 so i can get better colors

The a7c ii downsamples the 7k sensor to 4k so its actually way better quality than the a7rv.
