Fun-fact: That "we only brought one football to the Super Bowl" joke actually happened. In Canada. I'm actually surprised how hard this to look up but I saw this on TSN. Anyway, if I remember correctly, it was actually the Grey Cup match, it had a ridiculously high score going, with lots of field goals and conversions. Of course this was in the '50s or something, before they bothered to put up nets behind the posts to catch the balls. Well at one point, one of the players scores a touchdown, and he just happens to get up near the sidelines. I shit you not you can see on the footage a fan just rips the ball out of his hands and takes it away. And guess what? That was the last of the 30 or so regulation balls they had on them. That was the end of that game. A draw. Everyone go home. I swear that's a true story. TSN would bring it up during top 10s pretty much every year, which is weird because I can't find it online.

It's real easy to explain. So like there's some dudes on a team, right? There's some dudes on one side and some dudes on the other side (The same amount of dudes on both sides!) Then they get on the field and they have to take the ball to the side that they are facing. (That's the endzone, i'm pretty sure because it is a zone and it is at the end of the field *don't quote me*) Now the team that has the ball has the option to pass it (throw it) or run it (hand the ball to some guy and he runs with it). There are variations where the Quarterback (He is the guy who controls the ball after the snap *the snap is the start of the play when they're all like HUT and shit*) can decide to do a little fake out and pretend to hand the ball of but instead he passes the ball or maybe even does a FLEA FICKER (flicker, this is a joke i made in reference to the video because I'm trying to be funny right now) Now the guy who gets the ball has to run and not get tackled by the other team, he has to make it as far as he can. If he gets tackled, the game starts again where the ball ends up, but the team with the ball only has 4 tries to make it past 10 yds (american units!) If they make it past the 10 yds then they get 4 more tries to make it another 10 yds because GOOD FOR THEM! If they do not make 10 yds in 4 tries, the ball is given to the other team to try and to the exact same thing BUT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. Now usually, on the 4th try, if the team who has the ball sees that it will be difficult or impossible to claim their 10 yds on their turn, they will kick the ball as far away from their own endzone (remember that term?) so that the other team will have to work harder to cover all that area (a football field is like 100 yds or something) Look, there's more to it, but I got tired from typing...sorry. Just like google it or something, sorry for wasting your time.

Atticus Jackson Oh so that's why there are numbered lines along the field. They gradually "conquer" the lines and push towards the end-field. That makes it clearer to why they bash each other like in mosh pits. I only learned how baseball works last week, they only thing remaining is to learn how cricket works and I can see anything on satellite TV.
