I've always thought the yutyrannus trophy was pretty brutal. Sure other dinos give you horns, some skin, an arm, etc. The yuty gives you a bloody internal organ.

The trap is by far the easiest way to tame these. Use yourself as bait, and park your support Dino a ways off in case the yuty misses the trap

yeah, it is stupid easy if you don't mind dying. Just put your good gear in storage near the trap and lure him in. Most of the time I just pull the yuty into the trap naked and still don't die.

On a flyer you can seperate it from the carnos using a steep incline that it can climb but the carnos can not. You can also lure carnos of a cliff when they wander away from the yuti . With a Griffin you can go straight up then come straight down and then fire straightish down on the yuti. Once it starts running away chase it while firing. A trap is ok but sometimes their a real pain getting them in it.

I don’t know how, but I managed to tame a 145. I made a trap, but rather than go inside of it, it just say there biting the walls. Fine by me, I got it down to when it starts to run away, and hen it became a chicken with its head cut off, a pain in the butt.

The way I tame them is with rex that has decent health (they are immune to the fear). Just munch the carnos and let the yuti attack the rex on passive mode while you jump off and shoot the yuti. They will keep aggro on the rex forever. You just have to be careful you don't get bitten accidentally, and watch out for other nearby predators. When they run, just jump on the rex and clear stuff around as you chase and tranq.

There's this one area on valguero where there are tons of yutys,to find it go to the north west mountains and you'll see this weird giant spike and there's a lake beside it where you'll find like 4 yutys,also there is a natural yuty trap towards this ice cave with one of the artifacts in

Geangulo A. Breed and imprint an otter and level up it’s melee dmg. It gives ton of insulation which scales which scales with melee, which in turn receives a bonus from imprinting. You can make any environment tolerable naked with a good enough otter iirc.

This trap design is bad. You can build one with a 2×3 stone platform and two stacked rows of stone doorframes. For the platform, just use wood. In total thats 6 stone platforms, 20 stone door frames and 4 (at most 6) wooden ramps.

There’s a much cheaper trap you can use for trapping a Yuty. Simply place down a stone foundation with two stone double doorframes stacked on top of one another on one side and one stone double doorframe on the opposite side, with a stone staircase leading up the latter side.

It's more difficult to gather than other types of available food due to the relative rarity of Ovis compared to the large abundance of creatures who give raw prime meat. It's not something I would recommend to seek out, but if you can get some to the creature you're taming you'll be able to save some time.

I decided to try and sperate each of the carnos, got two trapped and ko, then found out the yuti came looking with the last car o and tried to free the 2 I trapped, then shot them while they were busy trying to free their comrades.... Could not sperate such a nice family so ended up taming the whole lot and got one hell of a team.

For that one homeboy without the stuff to make a trap just get a thylo stand on the side of a mountain kill Carlos one yuty starts running and get prime then knock the yuty and give it prime and if there is no mountains just get somewhere with no dinos or only passive dinos and then lead it to somewhere where it can't get you

It sounds like you're using the sloped roof piece instead of the ramp piece.

Put foundations on the side with the ramp, put walls on top, then add ramps. Make sure they are ramps not sloped roofs. The other 3 sides of the trap I use fence foundations.

(I know this video is old, but...) If you have access to wyverns, a wyvern is by far the easiest creature to use as a taming partner. They can fly, can easily deal with the Carnos including Alphas, and aren't affected by the fear roar.
